Justice System - WTF

I know it's silly to argue with one's self over a game.. But if you have acquired bounty in Eastmarch, then why would it stay with you when you fast travel to Hew's Bane or another area that is across the other side of the continent?? Why wouldn't your bounty disappear until you later return to that area were you acquired it?

Because this isn't TESV: Skyrim, and unlike that game bounties diminish over time.

interesting concept, but then again, you could just ravage each town hovering around the wayshrines and just zip on out to one of 100 locations with no worries or consequences.

Because then you could go on a rampage and get 1 million bounty and all achievements and steal things in an area you don't care about and probably will never go to again, rendering the justice system useless.

Until you return to that location.. once you return, your bounty would be were you left off.. and then you would need to either wait until it diminishes or you pay the fine.

No.. not at all.. that's real life situations.. Your bounty in that area would not diminish until you return to that area or you pay the fine..

Because all those traveling merchants and drunk undaunted that move around carry the stories of your exploits. As good an explanation as any.

There are a lot of regular zones one doesn't need to return to if they had a high bounty ... Bleakrock Isle, for example, after completing the quest to evacuate survivors.

Like the other posters have said, I think this would circumvent the whole just system ...

Let's keep in mind that when I am doing the main story mission where you have to travel to each alliance leader's strongholds to convince them to meet at Stirk, going in with the AD alliance, even King Emeric talks about how even the bard's of Wayrest 'sing of my exploits'. So CLEARLY news travels, and it wouldn't be uncommon for even enemies to share their 'most wanted' lists.
