Freezing in IC

I'm in the Ebonheart Pact. I leave my alliance's base in IC and head to the Temple District. I'll regularly attempt to attack the 2 enemies just below my alliance's entrance to this zone. One is a Dremora Kynval, and the other is a Dremora Gandrakyn. Anyways, for whatever reason I've been experiencing regular freezes when fighting the Kynval.

Everything goes fine, until the game freezes mid-fight and just...stays like that. I wait for a good few minutes for any response before shutting the game down and reentering, only to find (unsurprisingly) that I'd died and needed to respawn.

I respawn, kill a bunch of people, and then the same exact thing happens a few minutes later. The game just freezes and does absolutely nothing.

EDIT: freezing just happened again. I jumped off the ledge, engaged the Kynval (I'd already killed the other one with bow) and it froze the SECOND I used biting jabs on him.

Come to think of it, the freezing has always been happening when I use biting jabs. Is that the cause? I will try to fight him without using biting jabs and see what happens.

EDIT 2: Fought him without using biting jabs, no crash. Will now deliberately use biting jabs against next opponent and see what happens.

EDIT 3: Used biting jabs on another opponent (the Dremora Morikyn down a nearby alley). No freeze, so it's not the direct cause, but it could still be a contributing factor. Will wait for the offending opponent to respawn and see what happens when I use biting jabs on him.

EDIT 4: Used biting jabs on the Kynval, no freeze. I'll assume it's subsided for now, but I will remain cautious.

EDIT 5: Okay, literally 10 seconds after posting the previous edit, the game froze again when I was just walking through the Temple District. No combat, not trying to harvest anything, no other players as far as I could see, I was literally just walking through the city and it froze.

EDIT 6: Since the lag appears to have subsided and the freezes are far more of a problem (IC will be literally unplayable as long as they keep happening), I've edited the post so it's purely about the freezing. I've also added some more details at the start about which enemies I'm fighting.

EDIT 7: It happened again when I was simply walking through the Temple District. Both of the "simply walking" freezes occurred when I tried to walk past the barricaded door to Green Emperor Way and onto the left side of the map.

EDIT 8: Aaaaaand once more when fighting the stupid Kynval. That's it, I'm done. I'm not stepping foot into IC again until you fix this ZOS, I'll just sell what I have and buy the damn Charcoal myself.
