PVE Sorcerer/Vampire, where to spend the cp points?

Ok, so a little info...I play on the xbox, only have had the game and all three dlcs for about three weeks now, I really have no interest in doing pvp, ever, and am more of a solo questing player. I've just unlocked cp points last night. My guy is a dunmer, I usually rely on my pets (twilight matriarch IV & unstable clannfear IV) to distract mobs while I hit them with my staff and spells (usually crystal blast IV, invigorating drain IV, devouring swarm IV) and I use bound aegis IV. Also love sneaking about. So what areas should I be putting the cp points into?

Was hoping for an easy answer, like dump your points into A or B, not have to go to college and get a degree in game mechanics and equations to understand those guides...lol. The only recent vamp/sorcerer build there is over a year old as well, and doesn't mention cp point spread. I'll just dump them wherever and hope it works out.

He gave you links to most detailed replies possible though, in case you ever want to know what's going on behind the scenes and how to make use of it to make your character as efficient as possible ;)

That aside, pets don't profit from CP system. So leaving that out...
Spells like Crystal Fragments do Magic Damage which will be buffed by putting points into Elemental Expert passive in first blue constellation(I can never remember their names -.-). As a mag sorc, the usual spammable attack is Crushing Shock(or the other morph, it's 3rd skill down in the Destro staff skilltree), most people weave that with light/medium attacks and only cast Frags on insta cast proc - that ads more overall dps. For aoe, the usual go-to skill is Impulse/Ele Ring(last skill in Destro staff skilltree). All Destro staff skills do elemental damage, which will also be buffed by putting points into Elemental Expert(meaning this should be your favourite passive, overall).

Sorc's main surviveability tool, Hardened Ward(last skill in Daedric summoning tree), gets buffed by Bastion passive in one of the red constellations. Since at v16 it's capable of giving you up to like 25k shield(including the buff from Bastion), most sorcs love putting points there as well.

In the green constellations, you might want to pay some attention to Arcanist and whatever the other one is called...increase magicka regeneration and reduce spellcost ones.

Those are the top passives that come to mind when someone says "PvE magicka sorc", the rest can be tweaked to your needs. I mean this can be tweaked to your needs as well, but that's probably the most useful options for you.

    Good luck!

Thanks for that info, respent my cp to take advantage of your suggestions, and will look into those alternative skills, though I don't have any of them available currently.
