Crouching/Hidden - Pitch Black Character + Bug Report

Alright, so it's been a while since I played ESO, and now that I came back, there is this one thing that bothers me alot. The weird shadow over your character, when you crouch and go into hidden.

I guess it's kind of helpful for players around you, like "ahh, he's hidden right now, got it", but it's absolutely useless and annoying on the character I'm playing. I already have the weird eye that tells me if I'm hidden or not, I don't need you guys to make my character pitch black ontop of that...
Just look at this, who's idea was this?

This is what it should look like. Just the eye telling me if I'm hidden or not, nothing else...

So please could we have an option to turn this off on our screens, so anyone who likes it, can keep it?

On another note, I might be blind, but I couldn't find a bug report forum page, so I'll post this in here, since it's about crouching anyways.

So let's get started, you know how there is this "WHOOSH" noise when you crouch and go into hidden? That noise repeats itself every time you're close enough to a container to make your character stand up when looting it. You stay hidden when you loot containers, but it acts like you're going out of crouching, every time you loot something, which then makes that "WHOOSH" noise twice, when looting, and closing the container. This doesn't happen if you stay further away from the container, because your character doesn't stand up to loot it anymore.

One more thing, which doesn't bother me, but I noticed it, and it most probably isn't intentional.
When you read a book, a note, or whatever while hidden, you are not pitch black anymore afterwards, but still have that weird shadow on you

Which tells other people that you're hidden, without making you pitch black. I'd actually prefer this over that pitch black crap.

And stop right there you beautiful grammar Altmer! English isn't my native language <3

for not being native to English this is pretty well written. I think it is more for pvp uses since in pvp if u see the grayed out guy he is hiding from something and to probably stay away from them. but that's only reason I can see a use for it haha.

Yes, now that you say it, PvP might be it's best use. Like "aha, he's hiding, better not blow his cover". But then again, there is no use to see it on your own character.

I semi agree because if you can see the eye then you know you are hidden but sometimes you are more focused around the corner at the guy chasing you while you hide behind a tree that its easier to see the darkened char in front of you as a sign of being hidden and can sneak around again. Other than that it would be useless to see your own darkened self.

How would you know if ur hidden then?

If u have on a costume....not the crown stuff but under the appearance the eye shows like you're hidden but that's different. Disguised isn't hidden so I think of the balked out as hidden and the eye thingy as disguised cause it can be partially open which isn't blacked out hidden

Ok, I can see it being useful in some hectic plays. But it would be nice to have it as an option. In my opinion, it's pretty immersion breaking in PvE. Feeling like this sneaky thief in someones house, when suddenly, my character turns completely black :/

Disguises, yea, I don't really know how they work now. It's been a while since I've used one. But my point stands, I'd like to turn it off on my character (only on my screen), because when I don't need it, it breaks my immersion big time.

I guess I'm trying to point out that you need it cause the eye isn't the indicator.
If you don't PvP....like me that's cool but the TG DLC, this black out is very important....the eye will get u caught up

The black with the sound is key to being hidden or revealed while hidden

I jsut looked into it and yes, you're right, I do kind of need it when wearing disguises and want to crouch at the same time. But that's all just parts of the game. Anywhere else in open world, it just annoys me (personally). Like what i was doing in the screenshots, going through peoples homes. I didn't spend an hour in the character creator and bought myself some fancy costumes to have my character turn pitch black at the end.

An option to turnit off for yourself would be really cool =)

I love when someone says English is not their native language and yet they have a better understanding of English grammar, syntax, and spelling than most native born 18-year-olds in the United States.

On a totally unrelated note: I have no idea why, but every time I see this thread I read it too quickly and think I see "Crouching Tiger Hidden Bug Report"
