I use 2H for my Nord Templar, initially I used a bow as my backup weapon but found myself using it less and less and just wasting the slot...

In the end I went for Board+Sword as my backup, that way if I'm getting my health hit up too much (2H attacks can be slowish) I can get my block up much easier and hit faster attacks with B+S. I also assign a lot of buffs & healing to my back up bar for more protection. I'll have to check when I get on my account what I use exactly for both bars, but it's a good method.

That way, the 2H can be used to plough through enemies, I use a bit of a 'ground and pound' technique, Wrecking Blow (even if it is a bit glitchy) and Aedric Spear to cause knockdowns and slow my enemies attacks down. If things get too rough, I switch to B+S for a more defensive approach. It's all in the technique.

Then again, I'm pretty much strictly PvE, I'm guessing a lot more experienced players will offer you a different approach for different situations, especially if you're going for a specific build (such as Tank, DPS etc) and play PVP. My Nord build wouldn't do so well in PVP, but it does enough to take down world bosses on my own without much of a struggle!

I decided to go with bow, I use that magnum shot & the rest are buffs, waiting to get that vigour for my main heal.
In time I might switch to B&S for abit more defensive

It all depends on your playstyle,

I have a stamplar that uses 2H and Bow..

Open with heavy attack, poison arrow, stampede, wrecking blow, biting jabs, executioner..

I think alot depends on you. which do you prefer?

Depends on playstyle:
Range = bow
Single or multiple target CQ = DW

What doesn't go well together is DW and Bow, unless you want to spend a lot on brutality potions.

i use a Stam sorc that uses 2H & Bow.

I like the bow, gives me a chance to get some hits in at range then switch to my 2H when up close.
Most of the skills though on my bow bar are buffs & heals. Works okay in PvP
