Sorcerer Build

Hello all,

i just wanted to post my Sorcerer build and see what the community thinks. i have been using this build since level 30ish and it has worked great so far (PvE) but i want to know how viable it will be at V16 raids,dungeons, etc. i am V2 right now

i am just looking at PvE right now.

Any tips or suggestions would be nice

*Playing on Xbox One (not sure if that matters but oh well)

for PVE, thats not bad, not new, but not bad

though i suggest replacing liquid lightning with empowered ward ((or the other morph if you prefer)) grants your pets a little more survivability in harder fights, and grants you a little safty net

your build is fine for most content, but public delves and craglorn you might want to change to a more AoE oriented build

You seem to be missing your back and overload bars?

if you use hardened ward, you can take your attribute points out of health and put all in magicka which means you will do much more damage.

Any advice a good secondary ability bar? i have not really used anything other than my main destruction staff and the first ability bar.

resto staff with buffs and heals.

put all damage spells on your destruction bar

Agree with @Saint314Louis1985.

Backup a Resto Staff and easy street. Some like to go DW as backup. I prefer the Resto Staff.

I'd stack all in magicka for max pool and more damage.
That is how mine is set up. It makes hardened ward bigger as well.

If you are planning on running your sorc in groups (trials, dungeons) Put all attributes into magicka. use enchants to get your health to about 17k with food. Just make sure you dont stand in red and let your healers keep you up providing you dont do anything stupid.

My sorc has 17k HP with food

Buffed spell damage is about 3700. Mind you my DW in not quite levelled to max and I still have 1 level to go with my undaunted

Desto front bar and DW back bar for the extra spell damage. For max dps Bound Aegis and Inner Light for the extra Magicka (more magic more damage

Back bar should look a little like Bound Aegis, Inner light, Liquid lighting, Encase or you can even run ele drain for magicka recovery , and another AoE DoT. Trap beast, Impulse, Curse are fine. For boss fights Mages wraith for the excecute and Overload.

Front bar Bound Aeigis, Inner light, Crystal Frags, Force Pulse and I like Elemental Blockade with Shooting Star as the ult but only really for the extra magicka bonus. Just buff up the spell damage with potions. If your using Kena then 2 light attacks every 6 seconds for the damage. Start in your back bar and apply AoE's and Dot's switch to front bar and use clench and weave force pulse until you need too apply DoT's again. Whenever frags is proceed send it out. Its cheap as and hits like a truck!

Save your 1000 ultimate for the right boss fights and place the DoT's turn on oload and light attack your heart out when boss is low health mage wraith with finishe him off.

I use 5 Piece Juliano's, 2 Kena 3 Willpower and A nirnhoned desto staff on front and 2 swords of Torugs Pact both precise on the back bar. 5 light, 1 Heavy 1 Medium.

This build will see you pumping some pretty nice dps but keep in ind that you will struggle when on your own. Use Hardened Ward and Annulment then and these shelds will keep you safe Have fun

If noob then resto staff. But note (99% on here cannot see through this) you'll just be wasting time spamming a crap weak shield over ward which is stronger so just stick with one.

Make a sword bar as your 2nd for overload, boss fights only really and make your overload bar mirror the sword bar, just fill it with buff skills.

Since you're using both pets already, I'll offer the version I've been running lately. It hits 20k dps regularly, is super simple, easy, and extremely survivable even on very difficult content (like soloing Wrothgar world bosses).

Lightning destro bar:
Blockade of Storms
Lightning Flood
Volitile Familiar
Twilight Matriarch
Hardened Ward

Dual Wield bar:
Power Surge
(Flex) Prox Det or w/e you want
Volitile Familiar
Twilight Matriarch
Daedric Prey

Buff with Power Surge and Hardened Ward
Activate Proxy Det
Activate Daedric Prey (aggro)
Drop Blockade of Storms
Drop Lightning Flood
Activate Volitile Familiar pulses
Heavy attack with lightning staff
Refresh all on cooldown (they all finish close to the same time, so you can just keep cycling them in the same order. 1 or two staff attacks between reapplication is sufficient.)

I know...no Crystal Frags or Force Pulse seems crazy right? Yet this pumps out more consistent, easier to manage, and lower cost dps, plus it keeps the aggro off of you the whole time.
