Serious question about account sharing

Am I allowed to use my wife's account to get her character to the same level in quests that my character I use when she uses hers? The fact that quest phases mean we can't see each other is annoying and she doesn't want to quest alone. I don't want to break rules, but it's tough enough to get her online. I'm trying to get her interested enough to play the game mroe. Once she gets hooked on the pets and costumes, she would be far more likely to make crown purchases.

I would do it even if they said "no".
Wake up, we're here. Why are you shaking? Are you ok? Wake up...

Then how do I ask? It's hard enough to get her to play, if we can't see each other (thanks to quest phasing), she is even less likely to.

    By TOS: No. You can't.

    Literally: Yes. You can.

This has become quite a hot topic for some reason today. Seen so many threads about account sharing. Try not to look into people's "situational" suggestions too much. If you and your wife are at the same house using the same devices and same Internet as each other every day, that is a prime example of no way to tell. Is it still against TOS? Yes, it absolutely is. But there's no reliable way to prove that due to YOUR circumstance. You're not exactly in completely different countries using completely different Internets (and therefore IP addresses) on never before accessed devices on your accounts.

Personally, I think once someone is caught cheating and they are banned, the ban should stick. Otherwise, rules mean nothing.

I think this is going to fall under the "better to seek forgiveness than ask for permission" crime category. I doubt you're allowed to share the account in any fashion, but unless your wife is the one who reports you, you'll probably fly under the radar of any policing efforts. (Or would, if you don't bring it up in public fora. ;-)

If you want to play by the rules, perhaps make a character on your account, get it to the level of your wife's and quest together or duo some other leveling method until she's within the range of joining your main.

Not even husband/wife in TOS? Ok, good to know. Luckily I don't have to worry about my son's account. He's a true gamer, and won't fall behind. We've managed to have a few sessions of all three at the same time, which usually turns into her leaving early while he and I go through a public dungeon.

Try support prior to there being an issue. Of all the issues I'm sure they will be glad to help someone prevent from having problems.

If they ban you for playing your wife's account, then frack them. Move on to another company. Ridiculousness.

You both have accounts for the game, so this is by definition not account sharing. You just wish to help your wife with her character, so that you can play together while you both are maintaining accounts.

Account sharing is by definition when 2 or more people use one account, to cut subscription costs. While I see that making sense in a family, no EULA will allow that.

But again, you both have accounts so that's not account sharing. :-)

I am not sure, that this is a clever way to make your wife play more. If you level her character, she has a higher level character but not the personal experience, which comes with leveling this character by herself. I doubt, that this will make her more likely to keep playing, it is just more complicated for her to get into the game, because now she has to deal with enemies, which require some of the experience, she would have gotten by leveling the character by herself.

You said, it is hard enough to get her to play - which indicates to me, she does not want to, she is just doing you a favor. This does not sound to me as if this would be a successful attempt, in the end you will run into problems and quarrel with each other over a game. Is that really worth it?- Just think about it, this does not sound to me as if it would be a good way to go.

This sound like a situation that will never get an official reply, because they don't want to tell you no on account of how innocuous the case is, but they can't publicly endorse any exceptions.

A version of ZOS TOS I found online, no idea if it is current or not said nothing about spouses under the same house sharing and account.

Technically it would violate the TOS.

Don't stream your grind for three plus hours talking about how you have no motivation to grind out a new character while stopping just short of saying the only reason you currently playing the game is it pays your bills and you will be ok.

Depending on the state your in and status of your marriage playing in your account could be legally argued to playing on her account.

I would even wager that you paid for all the accounts and that the receipts are in your name making you the owner.
