Spell crit in pvp

Is there any point in havinga high spell crit in pvp as a Dunmer mag dk or is it made obsolete by shields

Obsolete really in general considering nearly everyone good or decent has one or both of the above.

Crit builds are really really bad in PvP. Youre much better off just stacking raw damage and going for the glory, because if you roll a crit against someone with impen or a shield up, youre going to hit like a wet noodle.

You can not crit shields, if this answers your question.

Thanks! I have been focused on PVE until now with a bit of PVP in between but am looking to do some more PVP every day. Will take it into account when crafting armor + selecting mundus for PVP.

Though, that if you are DPS role, already stacked raw dmg with good sustain, adding points to help with crit will still help your DPS.

But never rely on only crit for dmg in pvp.
