Character Appearance Change?

This feature has been requested over a year now. Is there any new news when this feature will be implemented or are we still being told "soon?" We should have a more clear "ball park" time frame on this by now. Seriously.

Are the devs expecting us to crowd fund this? What's the hold up here? Are they really that cheap to hire a rogue crew to bang this out in a month?

I want nothing more than to alter my main's appearance but as with other things in ESO, it's somewhere along "eventually."

Some of us are STILL stuck with a character appearance that was caused by bugs with the character creator back at pc launch.

ZOS really needs to get on the ball here, this has been a requested feature for a very, very long time.

It has already been confirmed that Zeni is working on "barbershop". Expected to be released with the Dark Brotherhood or "shortly" after. Although I'd like to see a Flesh Sculptor than just a baber.

Yea. I did. Frankly, I'm fed up with their lack of transparency on this matter and every person who has supported this game should be too. I find it insulting and detrimental to the people who poured their time and money into this game. It's no secret, an MMO without a character appearance change feature hinders longevity. Who wants to log in a thousand hours on a character they no longer identify with? There is no motivation to continue playing a toon once you despise their appearance. The devs should know this. It's MMO 101.

If the devs really wanted to address our concerns on this matter, they would have given us more feedback on this feature, other then, "soon." By now, they should have had an entire 1 hour ESO stream episode just on this topic alone displaying how they plan to implement this feature and their progress on it. They're the ones that decided to make the character appearance change accessible in-game. Because of this, this feature went from a 1 month project into a 1 year one. What are the results so far? Show us.

Confirmed they are working on it - yes.
Release date - not even close.

Last official word we all got was in their Year Ahead, DLC and Update Plan section, saying after all the info on TG and DB:

Longer term, expect to see information about systems like a character customization shop so you can change your character's gender, appearance, name, etc.,

So... unless they changed their schedule since january, no earlier then Q3 can we expect to even get more info about this feature, lest alone see it.
Which is a pity, since the DB DLC would have been the -perfect- place to add it with. I meah, come on... assassins needing to change their looks when the wanted posters plaster their likeness all over tamriel? What would make more sense to add some "Facesculptor Wizard" or "Plastic Sorceror" to some brotherhood hideout?

Of course, one can hope that maybe they do change their mind and schedule... but one cannot count on it until and unless they state their intentiond to do just that. From the way we hear it now, we might be lucky to get this after summer...
