I've Given Up On My Hirelings

Connection issues have gotten so bad for me that I have given up on my hirelings. I used to be able to log in and check each characters hireling mails in less than 10 minutes. Now, I takes me 5-10 minutes just to connect with one character. I log in, select character, watch the icon spin in the corner for a minute or so, get disconnected, rinse & repeat 3-4 more times before connection takes. If I want to check mail for all my characters it can take me up to an hour. Who has time for that? It's not my fault either; I have the highest speed cable internet my state offers and my computer far exceeds the game requirements. It's just that with each new DLC, etc. things get worse. I hate to envision how bad things will be when Dark Brotherhood launches. This is why I firmly believe that all hireling mails should be automatic and you should only need to load one character to read them.

I can understand your reasoning there, and why you think that would be a good solution, and I really don't see a reason why that wouldn't be a viable option. I personally haven't had any issues like this at all, but if there are other people with the same problem then it should probably be looked into.

I gave up on hirelings months ago because they only give me low level mats most of the time.
I can get tons of that on my own. I got 1 kuta in 6 months on 2 characters with max enchanting hirelings. Not worth the skill points and the inventory aggravation.

I agree with the OP, all chr emails should be account wide and show up when you check the emails for any chr. I'm not having the log in delayes that @Enemy-of-Coldharbour is having but I really don't want to waste time, (half an hour or so) to log into each chr to get hireling mail everyday. So I end up getting email crafting supplies from only 1, rarely 2 chrs a day.

I've been playing since Beta and connection issues used to never exist. It just seems like the last year things have gotten really bad for many of us. Not a day goes by on this forum lately without a new thread posted with a complaint about connection issues.

But, it's been two years of this sort of thing so no chance of that I guess.

Yep, they are worthless to me now, the hirelings. I can get enough tempers etc from deconning stuff.

Not to be that rude but I'd recommend buying a new potato as I'm not sure what login issues you're having and I've not noticed anything different. They did upgrade the requirements so lower end PCs/laptops are going to be slower. I'm not sure why people would moan about the progression of video games, would you rather go back to 8bit? There's always going to be a point where you need to upgrade the hardware of your rig and I'm afraid with ESO it's now for some people.

How did I fail? If you're having slow login issues it's either your computer or your connection which is nothing to blame ZOS about..

Only hirelings I've held onto are enchanting and provisioning. The rest aren't worth it imho.

If you bothered reading my post correctly, I have no issues getting logged in. It's the game keeps timing-out and disconnects after I choose a character to load. This was happening long before they changed system requirements. It just keeps getting worse with each new DLC.

Considering Hirelings rarely bring gold mats they aren't really worth it. It's just a time burn having to log in to get them.

Agreed. I used to love getting my hireling mails. Would get gold mats every day. Now I'm lucky to get one gold mat a week but it is always a pleasant surprise.

I also only received 1 Kuta out of 6 months worth of Enchanter Hireling mails. Always have to buy Kuta nowadays.

Why was the Enchanting hireling nerfed so hard? Where's the reward for those who invest so many skillpoints into this crafting line? Kuta aren't exactly easy to find when harvesting either (understatement).

As much problems that came with the TG update. Atleast as of late. I have no problem loading into both of my accounts on same pc (diff monitors ofc) to load into all my toons for my hirelings as well as do daily writs on them (I am not saying that I don't still get random crashes and latency spikes here and there) . It takes me Maybe a hour to do it.but that's with doing writs on each toon. Some of you who have given up on hirelings. May want to go back. I mean If you have the SP to spare why not invest in them. It's a passive way of earning materials. Also they most have buffed them cause sometimes I'm getting x2 wax, alloys, kutas, and rosin from one hireling before. I would say all together between my 2 accounts of hirelings. I average atleast 10 purple tempers and 5-6 gold tempers (that's from 1 hireling shipment of 2 on my toons since they have 3 point sin hirelings) that's not including the raw mats that have chance for gold mats and reports itade and rare racial stones for new motifs. I have outfitted 11 v16 toons with all v16 gear and I still have plenty of mats if I need to make anything else. In top of that I have accumulated just over 9 million in gold.

Writs friend, writs. I'm averaging at least 3 kuta's a week on writs alone. Bout the same for temp alloy, dreugh wax and rosin.
