Suggestion: coordinate PvP guilds on PC EU servers

Hi all!

I'm not a good PvP player. And I don't know how many PvP guilds are out there on PC EU. So, my suggestion might be a non-starter for issues that I don't know of. But, let me elaborate!

Apart from a certain minimum number of PvP guilds, my suggestion rests on one premise, namely that we all want to have a good PvP experience. By that, I don't mean AP farming in a resource tower. And I don't mean massive zerging. Rather, I mean those occasions where you have fun although your faction loses. When you siege a keep for an hour, not due to lag but because of the turning tides of war. When you just cannot get to that scroll because some few players make up for such a good defense at the gate. Personally, I had such experiences. Therefore, they are possible. And further, I enjoyed them very much.

Currently, past TG launch, campaigns seem to be rather unbalanced concerning factions. So, here is my suggestion: Would it be possible to distribute the major PvP guilds from each faction across all the campaigns? To do so would require some cross-faction coordination, but that should be doable. Maybe, all the guild who think of themselves as active PvP guilds could raise their voices, agree on a neutral location for negotiation and then assign campaigns? And once the campaign ends, guilds could reallocate again. Maybe, to avoid night capping, the main time frames of the guilds could be considered as well?

I assume that the major part of PvP players is not in such guilds. But, those guilds often seem to give impulses to the way PvP is played.

What do you think? Would PvP benefit from such a coordination? Are there downsides to it?

I like how the players have to come up with solutions because the game developers don't give one.

Nice idea on paper, but it won't happen. The main reason for that is if you spread out the really active guilds, servers will be dead. In this game, there is hardly any form of PUG organization (like you have it in GW2 with the commander symbol on the map). You very often see a faction that is "full", but players are no where to be seen or just hang out at their last keep because there is no form of organization at all.

A lot of guilds that are very active just end up in one or two different campaigns, because the other options suck:
    • friendly buff campaign - nothing to do
    • enemy buff campaign, two options: you capture an empty map, the few enemy players that are actually online just log off - or angry PvE guys swarm you with two or more full groups, and you can't do anything.

That's why the full campaigns are preferred, despite all the lag. There is almost always something or someone to fight that fits you. And not only for one or two hours in the evening.

Edit: There are simply not enough players around to fill up the campaigns. Add missing side objectives, missing PUG options and you have the current situation.

The issue when I tried to do this before was no one wanted to leave the active campaign and also most guilds didn't want to work together etc. It would be nice even for 1 night but I doubt it will happen
