Would you like ZOS to program to travel to the actual player instead of the entrance or wayshrines?

Asking that instead of landing at doors and entrances or wayshrines that when a party forms or when you travel to a player, friend or guild mate....that we actually travel to the spot if possible via programming (excluding PvP)

Be careful. If looked at to close we could end up with Crown teleports.

they've had enough trouble getting players to currently arrive at static wayshrines without falling out of the sky, can u imagine whats gonna happen trying to port players to a changable location? you're going to appear inside walls, 200 feet in the air, 5 feet off the side of a bridge, 6 foot under the ground etc

    No wayshrines.
It kills the sense of discovery. This is becoming all about teleporting from one place to another, then riding your horse for 20 seconds kill something, then ride again for another 20.
If you get killed you spawn right there and then.
As for instances... all of the EP is in Mournhold when it comes to dailies and they port to SILVER. Finish, port back.. switch to Vet, port to gold.
Why not spend 5 mins to ride where you need need to ride. Or walk through a jungle to the entrance of the Grotto?

Seriously, games become less and less fun and I am amazed that people can enjoy them. Where is the adventure?

Starting a new game? Lemme watch 2 3 videos and copy paste. Heck I might as well use calculators for skills and gear. What weapons do I like? A spoon if it will give me top stats.

Sounds too stalker-y to me, to be honest. Porting to a wayshrine or entrance is cool and useful, porting to exact player location is kind of creepy.

It would be good if it were possible, but I don't think it would be possible without a long development time. If it's anything like Morrowind or Oblivion, porting likely involves "destination markers", wherein your character is placed at the nearest-coded "destination marker" to whoever it is you're porting to. To enable travel to actual players, every single player would need to carry their own movable destination marker with them, which sounds like it would eat up server resources.

Interesting....I just thought it would be possible because of games like WoW and Guild wars or Lineage 2 and others

I prefer getting to the wayshrine most of the time, since you can only see in which region a person is, but not exactly where. So when I'm porting to a player in Reapers Mark and he happens to be questing, I'm at least at a wayshrine to travel to Rawl'kah instantly. Same goes for other regions where people are not always in the main city like Wrothgar, Stormhaven, Deshaan or Craglorn.
For Dungeons and Trials it could be nice to be at least positioned close to the other people. The main thing I dislike about helping people to complete a dungeon when someone left the group is having to run through the empty dungeon.

Has anyone forced you to use the teleport function? No? In that case why complain about it, you're free to play how you want to, if you want to ride and see the same scenery you've seen a million times before, noone is stopping you. As for me, I want to use teleports as I've already seen it all a thousand times before and just want to do it as fast as possible and noone should try to force me to do otherwise. We all got that choice. :)

I was initially confused by current mechanism, because I thought "Travel to player" meant exactly that, then I landed at a wayshrine with no one in sight. I'm accustomed to this now, and have even used the current method as a means of exploring new regions. Since you can freely travel to guild members of your alliance knowing only their region location, it's not uncommon to arrive at previously undiscovered wayshrines. However, when I am trying to meet with other group members, it would be more convenient to teleport directly to them.

    SO....perhaps the options should list
-Travel to Zone (this does what travel to player does now)
-Travel to Player (this would actually travel to player)
