Pickpocket ?

Would you say pickpocketing is worth doing ?, thinking, does it give xp to ledgerdemen and if so how much ?, are the chanse of sucess good (base) ? values of items ? and if i do get an item from it, do i launder and / or sell it to a fence ?

Over all, aside from the experience of robbing people and making there life a living hell, should i invest my time / skillpoints in it ?

It's basically just another way to get Legerdemain exp and stolen loot to fence, although more dangerous than stealing from containers because of the risk of being caught. I generally get white and green loot, which is fine for me but other people might have higher standards.

I can tell you that putting points into pickpocketing success makes a big difference if you plan on doing it. With easy and medium targets I get 100% success if I time it right.

I never picked a pocket until I had leveled Legerdemain to 20 on all my characters, well, most of them.

I also would not pick a pocket without the passives to increase the chance, to much risk. You can mitigate the risk by frequently fencing, but that is a bit of a pain.

I enjoy doing it and my Pickpocket is maxed out. I'm surprised at how many Blue items I have gotten from Easy targets. The Hard targets have a blue item 3/5 of the time it seems.

You get experience towards Legerdemain for both the act of pickpocketing, as well as the loot you take from them. The exp for the loot registers once you fence/launder the item.

Picking pockets becomes worth it when you start doing the Thieve's Guild quests in Hew's Bane.Once you do a few of the quests from the tip board,they will take you to the other places you havent been to yet.Other zones. Once you have been to one of those shrines you can go back anytime. And the pickpocketing quests are not only fun,they are profitable.
