Username Change (in game and fourm) - HELP!

Hello All, Hello ZOS!

For some reason I thought that it would be okay to use my real name as my eso username - but I have recently realised how stupid this was.

Players from within the game have been messaging me outside of the game! It really upsets me that I have been to silly as to use my real name, and it is really uncomfortable that people can find me outside of the world of Tamriel.

Please can you change my ingame username to @TerraPython and also my forum username too....
I understand that my forum username has already been changed once - But I really need it to be changed to @TerraPython so that people cannot contact me outside of the game

Please help!

This one thinks you would be much better privately messaging this to a moderator - as it is now everyone knows your real name is your real name and what you want it changed to.

Tell you what - this one will report this thread then it should draw it to the attention of whichever mod gets into work first

Santie is right. Once you get mod attention i would edit the names out of your post. You would be surprised how easily traceable this is if people want to track you down. :x

For the forums, go to http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/messages/add and add a moderator's name to the recipients list. If I recall, @ZOS_TristanK has been quite the trooper at getting forum names changed.

For the game, you will need to submit a support request from the support page at https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/home where you may have to log in again but submitting a request there for an account name change should yield results.

Edit: I guess I should be clear why to use different places. Your account name in-game is not tied to your username on the forums. They can be completely different and as such have different processes of being changed.

Hope it gets put right, ive had a similar issue (not because of my real name, but using the same username across different communities) and its very disconcerting. I wish you luck

I haven't seen TristanK around much lately, so it's possible he's not at ZOS any more. @ZOS_CoriJ seems to be the most active mod recently in the username change thread, so I would start there for your forum name.

Regarding your in-game name, as Elsir said above, that would need to be handled through a support ticket.
