blood fiend npc spawn?

Do blood fiend npc appear in ritual site on every night or only at certain moon night? Has it been changed?

I would be interested in that too.
I'm looking since 4 days for werewolf/bloodfiends in the rift and reaper's march.
Usually I run between the spawnpoints known from the older posts around, during the nights (now from fullmoon to newmoon, ebcause a lot mention the moonphase doesn't matter)
I haven't even seen one during this time and it would be appreciated if we get an official answer if there is still spawning going on (in what time-windows?) or if they were turned off completely so i can stop wasting my time.

They may appear only under certain moon phases. If I'm not mistaken, Full Moon for Vampires and New Moon for Werewolves (or vice-versa ).

Just throw in chat that you want a bite and people will appear offering one desperate for a few coins (usually 5k)

Most sources on the web say, moonphase doesn't matter. Also it's my first character and i want to find at least one time a npc werewolf or bloodfiend. and anyone who pays money for a bite is stupid. most people give it away for free.

I would recommend trying one of the vet zones for werewolves and blood fiends as less people travel those zones and are less likely to kill them when they spawn. I usually go to Bangkorai when the spawns are active. I'm EP on my main, and if I hear they're in the Rift, they're usually in the other zones too. Bangkorai is easy to find the spawn points, I usually find them south of Trolls Toothpick wayshrine, near a little bridge near a Wyress quest giver.

I've seen a lot of people just recommending you stick your character at the shrine and just leave it there for a while and more than likely, some player will bite you.

I give my bites free and know many others do to... go to the shrine be nice and don't pay!

I'm just doing a short summary of stuff i found on the internet about this topic:
-) moonphases don't matter
-) if werewolves spawn, vampires don't and reverse
-) if werewolves/bloodfiends spawn once, they will respawn about every 5 mins until the end of the moonphase (or night)
-) if werewolves/bloodfiends spawn in one region, they also spawn in the others
-) there is only one pack of werewolves/bloodfiends at one possible spawnpoint in every region. if they get killed, they might switch the spawnpoint
-) you don't have to kill them, you just can let you hit and run (it's nice for other players to get bitten too)

Stuff I still want to know: How often do werewolf/bloodfiend-spawns happen? once a month or a week? or is it just random?

There is a thread on forum where you can ask for a free bite. No need to wait for days.
If you are on PC EU, I can also bite you for free in all alliances.
If not me, than any from my WW guild I'm sure will be more than happy to bite you.

Search for a WW guild members who bite only for free.

Like the Priests of Hircine.

As for the WW spawns, I saw them once in Bangkorai area close to Hircine's altar.

And next full moon is coming, it's April 22, then May 21, June 20 and so on
