How do I move ESO from one computer to another?

Heya,
I am having a new PC built, and I want to copy/paste ESO from my old SSD in my old system to my new SSD in my new system. I have an external hard drive I can paste it to and pull it from there, but will this work? Is there another way to transfer without having to use the external drive (like an SD card or something)? Will simply copying/pasting the ESO folder be enough to get it to run, or will I need to do something else to get it to install?

I am very computer illiterate, so hopefully this won't get too technical.

Thanks in advance for your answers!

I've uninstalled and reinstalled ESO a few times when I've done fresh installs of the OS. My process typically starts with backing up the game folder, saved variables folder, AddOnSettings.txt, and UserSettings.txt. If you'd prefer not to redownload addons, you can back those up as well, along with any screenshots you mind losing.

Then just to be safe, I download the InstallESO.exe from zenimax. Run it until you get the launcher installed where you want it. Click Install so that it creates the file structure, then pause and cancel it. Then copy over your game folder.

Launch the game once without logging in so it creates the folders in Documents. Quit out. Then copy your Addons, Saved Variables, AddOnSettings.txt, and UserSettings.txt overwriting where necessary.

    Everything should work after that.
