Hireling Question

I have just unlocked 4 hirelings.
I been playing for 12 real life hours now.
I only recived one Hireling message with attachments in the whole 12 hours of playing.
Question
Do hirelings only message you once every 24 hours in real time?
When you upgrade the hirelings do there messages get any quicker?
Please forgive me forgetting this information l used to know it.

Hirelings at 2/3 skill points give you mails every 24 hours and 3/3 give you them every 12 hours. I'm not sure what it's like on other consoles, but on ps4 you need to either logout and back in or change areas via a load screen to push them through when they're ready.

If I have spare skill points then I use 3/3 because having them at 24 hours pushes them back if you can't get on at the reset time. For alts I just use 2/3.
