Serious question....did you think that it would and why were you surprised when you realized they didn't repair?

Someone does't read before buying. ZoS must love people like that.

I was just asking because many forum users assume that everyone is on here like "they/we" are but honestly, if you only play the game and look in the crown store.....it literally reads "this alert merchant is on hand whenever she's needed, and will buy anything you or your group offer her......When summoned, her services can be used by you and your group mates.

It does not say she won't do something that "all other merchants do in the game". Maybe people are wrong to assume but who buys as a merchant that doesn't repair who has "merchant" under their NPC name? Honest question

The merchant is a huge ripoff at it is right now. ZOS please. Give us the crowns back or make the merchant worth it!

This is just bad business practices, bordering on unethical. ZOS knows full well what people expect when buying this. This is pretty low in my opinion, say what you want about people needing to research before they buy. What ever happened to transparency?

Now they can come out with another "deluxe" merchant for $60 that does repair!

It's capitalism so by definition its morally right.

Plus the merchant takes a cut of the profits.

If she does, then people have a good chance of getting their money back.

The smuggler assistant takes a cut of profits. The merchant is NOT supposed to do that.

Starting on March 31 st, we'll be welcoming two additional assistants to Tamriel: Tythis Andromo the Banker and Nuzhimeh the Merchant. As his title suggests, Tythis is a banker that can be summoned whenever you or your group members need him to hold onto items or gold through your personal bank. Nuzhimeh will purchase anything that you or even your group offer to her. In addition to being incredibly convenient, Nuzhimeh will buy any non-stolen item, and neither will take any sort of cut when you or your group members use their services, so there are many profits to reap!

Nothing said about her selling anything to you, or repairing. But she is NOT supposed to take a cut of the loot.
    Are people actually buying this?

    Apparently so.

    $40 but still.

I can see the merchant as VERY useful if you are starting new alternate characters, otherwise, she's kinda useless.

The banker is very handy in any situation, but it just needs Guild Bank access and it'll be worth buying to people.

It's called a cash grab. ESO has the highest real money items in any B2P game available right now and only getting worse as the game does.

Tbh I have little sympathy with anyone who bought the merchant - it was on PTS for a month before even TG was released, and there have been plenty of comments and info out there about its limitations. Caveat emptor.
