Dungeon Finder - Suggestion

Hey,

it occured to me why aren't we allowed to queue for a random dungeon of normal difficulty + veteran difficulty at the same time? This should limit the time a player waits in a grp since the pool increases by a bit.

Because if you're accepted into any queue group, you are removed from the other instantly as far as placement in the world. I think you would still be technically grouped, otherwise.

Also....this wouldn't be ideal if you're in any group ....either the group would merge and some would be kicked after the timer or ppl would just be pissed that someone left for another group and no idea of why

You misunderstood. I'm not saying to queue for a random dungeon while in another dungeon. Of course with this suggestion I made you will queue for a random normal and/or a veteran at the same time, but if a group pops for either you will be taken out of the queue. I don't see the problem there, what you mention makes no sense to me.

In other words, it would work exactly the same as it is now but you're given the option to queue for two types instead of one.

I think I completely understand you, but that you're not looking at how the queues work.

    Situation Requested:
So, a player is not in any group...or even in a partial manual group.
The player and or friend want to queue for both a normal and vet random so as whichever one pops first, they choose.

    Problem:
When a group is found, the game automatically groups you. There is not a prompt to group, there is only a prompt as to when you travel. Both would not be ideal due to results, so unless there were drastic changes, this doesn't seem ideal.

Yet you are given the choice if you want to queue for either. That is up to you, why should that be a problem? If you don't want to be in that position then you would just queue for one of those. No limitation.

This thread was to suggest one convenience applied to the current state of dungeon finder. You disagree with that by naming issues the dungeon finder system has which is another case. I do agree with you that the way groups are formed without permission should be changed but until that comes, i'm happy with any addition.
