With the Maelstrom staff, you should have roughly 60 more points of spellpower. Judging from my own numbers, that would be like 3.5k with the mentioned gear setup, so I assume that 4.1k is with Kena proc active?
But my friend is not using two-piece Kena. With it, it would make perfect sense. But at the time, I specifically asked for the exact gear and buffs.

Yeah that's true, and I think the difference between you and me is pretty much just the kena proc alone. If I had tooltips in front of me this would be easier, but I think the legendary kena bonus is upper-600s.

If your friend is running Apprentice and all/mostly divines gear, I could see that difference as well (especially as a sorc, with all the SD bonuses for slotting sorc skills). I do something fairly similar on my stam sorc, whom I recently switched from 2h to DW, and his WD sits very comfortably at 5k+ with just self-buffs. Granted, WD is always higher than SD, but stacking it as a Sorc remains fairly easy.

I think I'm giving more credit to the Apprentice here than it deserves. According to a reddit reference, with all 7 Divines gear + Apprentice you get a total of 253 SD. Source here.

Well, I've made a screen with the gear OP mentioned and Apprentice.
Spell damage can be stacked quite high on sorc (I do it usually, with Kena and stuff), but not with that set.

It was possible to pick multiple Mundus boons on the same character (some people were running aroudn with like 8). I wont tell how, because it might be still not fixed on console version.

I don't think the mundus exploit works for stacking the same stone twice. I'm fairly certain (but prone to error) that it was just enabling people to get multiple (or all) mundus benefits.

I never tried that myself so I dont know. XD
Just dont see how its possible to get these stats with that gear and no exploits or bugs...

Hmm, now I'm wondering: Do you guys all play on console? I am certainly not all-knowing and very well could have missed this, but this alleged bug doesn't seem familiar to me on PC. I feel like I would have known about this, considering several of my guildmates (and myself) run caster builds, and we've done a lot of in-depth analysis, testing and maths to support our builds. As far as I know, our character sheets are showing the correct values.

    Thanks, DJ!
    =)

Yup, that's the "stack all items bug". You can recognize it by the absurd resistances. Now, I asked the person in question about his resistances, and they were normal, indicating this is not the bug I'm looking for. Of course, it might be that in this specific case, the resistances didn't change. On the other hand, I've asked multiple times, and never were heightened res stats present.

this is what bugs me so much. I don't mind him having these stats, all the better for us, right? (^_-) But not knowing what causes this drives me mad. Well madDER.

Yup were on XB1 it's a tooltip glitch for the character sheet. That screenshot I posted is an example of what happens. After a couple minutes it usually reverts back to the correct stats

Ah okay, that makes more sense. I wonder if anyone on PC has encountered this same visual bug. Hopefully that gets fixed soon. Without accurate character sheets and combat text (did you get that yet?) it's mighty difficult to test results...

That being said, a guildmate and friend of mine tested to see just how high his SD could get (this was just after IC release) and got his over 5k. This was unsustainable at the time, to say the least. However, this was also prior to the Overload Sorc meta, which could effectively remove that milestone, or offset the lack of sustain. His testing involved a normal, pre-overload rotation and it simply could not be sustained. However, with the standard now basically being burn through magicka, then overload, then burn through magicka, etc., it's probably at least more viable, though there's no way of me knowing without testing.

At 3.8k spell damage and CPs my heavy hits for approx 15k, I don't see how, even with 5k spell damage you could possibly get a heavy to deal 30k dmg... it may be possible but I don't see how
