How do kill effects proc? Like Disintegration, or turning to ash...

You know like when an enemy gets frozen solid, then shatters, or bursts into flame and turns to ash?
At first I thought it was from a critical hit killing them, but I buffed my Crit chance up to 67%, killed a ton of mobs, and the scrolling text showed a critical hit, but no flashy kill effect. So how do these work? What causes them?

You have a random chance to apply the Elemental Effects on an attack. There are passives that increase this chance. Also, these effects can come from the Enchantment you applied, if they are Elemental Damage enchants

I don't know if the Kill Effect has a different chance, or it is just an elemental effect that has a different effect because it is the killing blow.

Yeah, I have the storm calling one that has a 5% chance to disintegrate low health targets

When any elemental dmg does the killing blow on someone, it has a 10%? chance of showing the effect. It has no actual impact on their death other than visual. It is seperate from the proc chance to deal bonus dmg to monsters weak to a element.

Dont know if thats the actual percentage, just feels that way.
