Here is written a Werewolf's opinion on the gift/curse in current state. Most of my opinions come from much time spent in form 100s of hours in PVE and PVP
New:
-Champion points: With the introduction of altered CP pve werewolf's can see a slight boost to damage as poison, physical, and disease now all share one champion star. At the same time PVP werewolfs lose a bit of burst that Werewolves are known for due to the the introduction of CP physical resistance while gaining slightly more tankiness due to the ability to spec into the same points. That being said werewolf damage is still beastly.
-Gear: some many new sets that synergize with werewolves very well. Alchemist and Marksman being two of my favorite. Alchemist's added spell power means Hircine's heal is improved, along with even more burst. Where marksman provides extra cost reduction on stamina abilities, along with some solid stam regen, both of these help offset werewolf's expensive ability cost.
Abilities & Mechanics:
-Rousing Roar is a little sad, a 5 second major brutality buff (for group) is a little underwhelming. Adding a longer timer 30s would be more in line with buffs.
-Hircine's Heals are still to weak for the price (literally one of the worst heals per cost abilies in the game), reduce the cost by at least 1/3
-Claws of life/anguish: this ability should be extended a couple meters. 7 meters just isn't far enough as it feels almost impossible to connect with fleeing targets. Even bringing it in line with puncturing sweeps 8m would help immensely. Bring the first dot of the ability to apply on inital hit. This will make the ability hit slightly (think of what was done with bleed and light werewolf attacks) harder, and will allow claws of life to have a more reliable heal.
-Basic light and heavy attacks should have their range increased by 1 meter. It is almost comical how on top of a target a werewolf can be but wiffs swipe after swipe (not from target dodging)
-Brutal Pounce: Increase damage, it's laughable
Cosmetic:
-Add Bezerker skin
Personally I would love a revamp of the system.
-Allow bezerker to operate as normal except 33% reduction of werewolf cost of ability cost/ ultimate
-Change the Ultimate timer to 1 min base time
- Reduce Savage Strength to 10% from 18%
- Call of the pack is now Hound of the Huntsman: Allow werewolves to transform in stealth/ stealth increases detection range by 25%
- Persuit now decreases cost of sprinting and effectiveness of snares by 50%
- Werewolves in human form always take extra poison/fighters guild damage
- Pack Leader changed to "name pending" no longer white, Grey fur, now gains time for 10 sec every time a werewolf ability is used
- Devour now adds one min to timer stackable, no cool down on use so you can feed rapidly on multiple multiple kills.
- White wolf added through jewelry / weapon set or totem system (includes other werebeasts)
