When they remove VR ranks; they need to upgrade all Gear to the same Level

What I mean is....VR12 sets from previous patches should be equal to VR16 sets in stats..I hate that every patch they increase gear and you have a separation of Gear Sets at that point....This game would be alot better with MORE sets available as it opens up more builds.

At this rate, we'll all be in CU before vet lvls are removed.

Don't even get me started on spell crafting, player housing, appearance editor, faction swap, & race changes.

Hmm...yes there would be..you keep adding new gear that creates new builds..you don't need to increase the stats as long as the 5 piece is unique.

Where ZOS came up with the idea that they need to increase the actual stats itself i'll never guess.

Lol OP you do realise that the actual MATS in the current game won't fall away right you do REALISE that ?

So Voidstone, cloth ect. will still remain...

That means Rubedite Ingots, Rubedo leather & Ancient Silk will still be max level gear...

Why would that change? The only thing changing is that instead of having to reach VR16 before using these max level mats now you will just need to have 160CP on your account... So technically anyone with 160CP can now wear max level gear...

    You are either
A - extremely lazy and don't want to achieve anything ( heck why don't they just mail you with 200 Tempering Alloy, Dreugh Wax, Rosin when the VR fall away ) B - did not think before posting C - did not understand that materials are what separates gear level D - Don't enjoy playing ESO and want an excuse to quit

    In conclusion OP:

Rubedite Ingots, Rubedo leather & Ancient silk are not falling away ( only Veteran Ranks are ) that means 160 CP ( 10 CP / VR ) will = meeting the requirement for max level gear...

The nice thing about this is that your char will be able to wear VR16 gear at VR1 in 3 months as long as you have the mats for it!

isn't that reward enough already? Do you really want more?

    It's not about crafting sets.
This is about sets you simply can't get at V16 since they don't drop for that level.

Removing VR ranks will do nothing. No idea why people think their will be level 50 and that's it.

Equipment will have a CP requirement. So instead of getting to VR16 you'll just need to get to CP 501 or I'm sure it will increase to 600'ish and increase the "level" grind in the game.

won´t happen, as they are simply replacing the VRs with X x CPs... as they still need incentives to do the equip treadmill wich is their only incentive to buy DLCs(keep BiS equip)...

I think people are assuming the VR removal is going to be anything close to smooth. I don't imagine it will be anything short of a nightmare.

They are restructuring their entire game that people have been progressing through for 2 years. I've said this before, but I expect to VR removals to be ESO verison of SWGs combat upgrade.

Not to mention, their plan is to make gear have CP caps to equip. The end game gear progression is literally XP grinding.

Well right now it is already xp grinding via leveling. Without the removal of vet system we will get Vet 18 in couple months then we will get Vet 20 after that. It will literally be endless progression because we will have to gain xp in order to level up again in a few months. At least from we know now if they make cp gear progression then most of us at least could already use the gear since people have plenty of cp points.

Well that's good to know at least...well...not like it really matters...having 4 max level toons doesn't really mean much for that especially since (afaik) I'm going to be cp caped instantly when patch drops...wish it was higher than a 50 point increase

Because I won't have to do it for each toon...

It's a huge difference. Granted, I won't benefit much from it, but I wish they has done it earlier.

Do people only play one character on this game? I don't know how so many people don't see what vet rank being removed actually means.

The removal of VR levels is good for Alts..which is something you want your game to encourage basically if you want to keep your subscribers...

Basically instead of leveling every new toon to VR16..you just gotta hit 50 and its now based off Champion Level (which is account wide)

However that's not what the post is about..I'm talking about making all gear sets past VR1 equal in terms of stats...This way all those gear sets from VR1-15 are now usable in PvP and you increase the amount of customization and options in PvP.

Crafting wise you can either increase the cost similar to Ruby or Decrease the cost of Ruby to match other things...since it didn't make much sense anyway.....Basically I want to increase the options available for builds

I know this may be a bit of topic, did ZOS ever explain why they are removing the VR ranks and reverting back to lvl 50? Like I understand VR was a temp system, but at this point with the grind that people have already put, I would be pretty salty to be reverted back to lvl 50. This doesnt make sense to me. Get rid of the Vet Ranks, rework exp requirements for the increase in regular levels, implement CP system. Lvl Cap becomes lvl 66 with the same amount of CP 160. Still allows mats to be viable and doesnt feel like the game is regressing instead of progressing

They are effectively doing just that, only those levels after 50 are implemented as sets of 10 champion points and are, as such, account-wide.

I don't mind removal of VR.

As long as they make gear level requirements tied to CP, then that would make sense.

And I don't mean all VR16 gear is required to have X amount of cp, but instead calculate the max stat allowed for the max CP allowed and you could essentially have dozens of tiers for gear progression. Which would void out the worry of not needing future DLCS.

Because if they just raised the cap a little at a time, it would work great.
