There is no NPC dialogue, crafting or riding sounds, everything else okay. How do I fiox this?

This just started happening, it was fine last time I logged on (the previous day). Nothing has changed on the PC and there have been no games updates. All other sound is fine (music, ambient)
THGings I can no longer hear
- NPC dialogue
- - mount being summoned and riding boises
- - crafting noises
Not having issues elsewhere (e.g. music, internet videos other games)
