The guy who wrote you sth. positive about Templars, he is one of 3-5 guys who keep spamming the forums with their positive view up on the class, also the Blablafat-videos started exactly at the point, when many templar started complaining about being nurfed. We wrote hundreds (!) of threads with explicit feedback up on the class and it's massive shortcomings in terms of AoE-CC, mobility and we complained about the 2year-long buggy and very clumsy (slow) skills of the class, which make you "more defenseless" in PvP. Of course, if you can play well, you'll will succeed in every class BUT not standing on equal grounds, which is what we expect in a game with just 4 classes! Do not believe statements like "Templar is super OP!"
If you want a more realistic and unbiased (also not so positive) overview of the Templar class and about its shortcomings, I would suggest you to search for threads in the forums and to (!) read this one (!): http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/245184/official-feedback-thread-for-templars#latest (most recent thread about the class. Many contributors are not playing this game any longer but it is the, up to date, most recent information about the status quo!
If you are more a single-player type in PvP, you should absolutely inform about the class, but, If you play in groups 100% of the time, than you can play any class: But be aware, even if you're a group player, nonetheless, you will have a lot of 1:1 encounters vs. skilled players, who will know when to interrupt you and that you lack defenses, so you'll also be "first target", just because you are an easy kill. Of course, you can wear heavy armor, that is actually one way of surviving as a templar. But your best defense was taken, long ago, when Blazing Shield was made useless and the templars only AoE-CC (Blinding Flashes) was removed from the game!
Many, and I do not just -say so- (!), Templars have left the boat! I'd like to argue with numbers, statistics, etc. but the game developer knows why, we won't see statistics in this game, as PvP is overcrowded with Nightblades and Sorcerers, even DKs, lastly, but not at all templars.
Please read the thread I linked for you, everything is in there! Always make your own opinion!
Lol, what?
Anyway, they're strong in pve and pvp.

Why you keep quoting an adivice to read a thread full of valuable opinions? Did you even read what I wrote? I never said: "I have problems with my templar"!I'll post a video to back myself up then. Get a grip just because you aren't doing too well on the class doesn't mean it sucks.
Depends, stamina templars don't do so well, magicka ones if geared and specced right can be very lethal, especially now Jesus Beam is fixed again.
Dark Flare+Vampires bane quickly followed by Jesus beam drops even the tankiest of builds in a heartbeat, given that you initiate the attack first. With the CP changes to magicka trees, templar skills really got a long needed buff.
I'm talking obviously about DD specced templar (Dual wield+resto), not quite sure how utility templars fare.
