I think that may be able to run Guild Wars 2 on low, graphics wise, so try it on lowest graphics settings. It may do it. Maybe.

save your frustrations bro, this game lags on the best rigs possible, it's not about whether your rig can handle this game... the game can't handle the game

If that's a variation of the Intel HD5000 then it will be ok on Minimum/Low Settings @ 720p. I'm not familiar with the specific one you mentioned, but if it's what I think it is then you are probably ok if you don't mind it looking allot worse then the trailers.

yeah I got the laptop as a gift so I was hoping I could make it work but I'm not sure that's a good idea

It should start the game, but I don't think it will manage playable FPS even on Minimum settings... it might be ok if you're using a low resolution such as 720p, but I'd try to find someone who has benchmarked it with that setup before buying.

In any case, the game does not look anything like it does in trailers etc if you play on minimum. :/

thanks I appreciate all the help

It means you run the test on that link to establish whether your machine can run it.

It may be able to do so in theory, but bear in mind that even so many laptops with integrated graphics have problems running any modern games satisfactorily.

If you are only looking to PvE then you can safely ignore any negative comments here about the game, they relate to the PvP which some find extremely laggy. Even if your laptop does run the PvE ok it will very likely struggle with the PvP so it comes down to how you want to play the game really, subject in any case to running that test in phairdon's link.

I revised my comment in your quote, after checking into the actual integrated GPU that you have it does meet the Minimum requirements and should be playable at 720p in PVE.... group play or PVP are probably not going to work well, but you should be able to quest etc if you don't mind the lower/lowest settings.

Best option is to hit your own link

    1. In the search for a game, type elder scrolls online
    2. Hit the blue "can I run it" tab
    3. In will download a detection.exe
    4. Run it after download. You will get an answer.

You def should be able to run it. But if for some reason your not happy with the graphics and don't wanna buy a new laptop or desktop. Depending on motherboard on the laptop you may be bale to buy a better gpu expansion. But some manufacturers don't like to allow aftermarket expansions to fit in there. I've heard of external gpu's but have never used or have any knowledge on how dependable they are. But if all you want is to run the game your laptop is fine. Doesn't matter on people rig with this game your gonna encounter lag. I have a 4k+ rig and still have rand fps issues and random crashes.

That should do pretty well on High setting @ 1080p. It's a much more powerful video card compared to the previous laptop.
