Choosing an area as your home base for thieving

I was thinking of how cool it would be if after finishing thieves guild quest line you were given the opportunity to take charge of one of the outlaw refugees around tamriel and given some extra bonus while stealing in that zone. I say this cause i really find it more appealing than having to go all over the map just to pickpocket some random npcs and also i find it lore breaking while picking a home base of operation gives meaning to choosing an other city just because it would be your city if you know what i mean;) what do you guys think? wouldnt this be cooler than the current system?

    Another game i played once had the optional quest line where you took over a base and got yhree recruits to guide through their development. So periodically you could get missions with thrm.

    In a TG vein, you could have three rookies thrown to you, the famous savior, to mentor. So, daily quests with each could involve going into delves all across tamriel to save them after they got caught, or with them to rsid, or stealing valuables or stealing the evidence against them etc.

    Each of these could reuse existing terrsin, be levelled to match you and just throw in additionsl objectives - so new coding demand would be minimal for a lot of permutations of dailies.
