Itsnot much when it comes to pve but my god it is so useless in pvp.
It just drains all yr magika and barely heals at all, and I have alot of CP dedicated to healing.
C'mon zos really? Templars deserve much better healing.

Templars still have by far the best burst heal in the game. In PvE the nerf only hurts healers who relied in the skill as a crutch, good healers will be better. In PvP, old BoL was so stupid. The skill is a smart heal which in itself makes it OP. Last patch one templar had a disproportionate affect on any battle of any scale.

The nerf to Breath of Life was one of the best balancing decisions made by ZoS all around.

Best balance decision? Sorc heals get a little less heal then bol but hits 3 targets (including yourself) while templar hits 2 people (including yourself) That just made another class have better heal. If they made sorcs heal hit same amount I would agree with you there. Anyway I still have no problem healing on my templar. Just have to know when to heal an don't just spam. I wish they implemented this to change to bol if they were gonna reduce number of targets to 2. They should allow the heal to hit 2 targets but it can be any 2 targets, the targets health have to be the lowest in group though.

This is seriously a learn to play issue that requires you to adapt.

In exchange for the Breath of Life nerf, Templars have received 2 easy ways of getting Major Mending from class skills, alongside a change to the weapon of choice, giving Major Mending with Restoration Staves.

The change forces you to become both a better healer, and gives an overall buff to your healing. In my opinion, it's worth it.

I'm hitting 9-11k BOL on my dps templar still. It's not horrible. If anything, it feels a little bit stronger on the target that it hits.

I got over BoL change quickly. We've got a huge buff on javelin(way longer range), Dark Flare(hits much harder), Eclipse(Can reflect bows now too.

I'll take the slight hit in my BoL for all of these and more.

Perhaps you're not geared for healing. 1 wave of my hand (Breath of Life/Honour the Dead) and I healed myself in PvE for nearly 20k health. I don't even HAVE 20k health.

I've not had problems healing on my Templar in PvP. It's pretty strong still, actually.

I played a Templar Healer since release, and
Templars suck more with each patch.

Since one month I now play a Sorc Healer. With the latest patch,
my V7 Sorc is not only a better healer than my V16 Templar,
he also does a ton more damage besides only the healing.

Sorcs already have been the best DPS class, now they also are the best healer class.
RIP Templars. If you play a Templar like me, consider a reroll as a Sorc. You won't regret it:
Most versatile class, incredible DPS, incredible healing, incredibly fast, incredibly fun to play.

I thought with the BoL nerf I would be screwed over but I was wrong in PvP equip healing such as purifying ritual, rapid regen and healing springs they work amazing :D
Dungeons are fun too if you're having trouble use healing ward

It's not that bad. Actually my templar is probably much stronger in general; even without cheesing RD. The problem is, they didn't really address things that needed addressed. Our defences, mobility, and resource management still are sub par.

Heal is still good as a self heal so I wish they would make HTD exactly that so it has no chance of healing others. Finally can change the perception that Templars are best set to be the pocket healer. We can provide the freaking resource spear we can't use so let some other class worry about slotting healing ward and crap.

It's not just the BoL change, if anything, what I notice most on my healer in pvp is how much higher the damage is and how quickly heals need to be pumped out. I also very much notice the prolific amounts of heal debuffs from meatbags, dark flares, and fasalla's guile. Let's not forget that an important reason why healing was so strong last patch was because barrier was the meta and it provided a strong enough cushion when healers could keep everyone topped off. Barrier is no longer a thing, so heals are already more taxed simply because of that. Toss on the damage numbers and heal debuffs in this patch and yes, healing was not given the proper balance it needed, but that's come to be expected with Wrobel at the helm.

The rapids nerf impacting templars more than anybody (even our rune focus drops rapids, and that's now a self buff, wut?) was icing on the cake.

Honestly while I have BoL on my bar...I rarely pop it. Infact the most often that I popped it was in Cities just bsing around. Most the heals I chose to go with were much more useful to the context of the situation and utilized less of my magicka. Allowing me to contribute to DPS and burning down the Mobs/Players faster.

Yeah, it's a hit. But after playing for a bit it is not too bad. One less heal and 5% drop in the heal itself.

They buffed/fixed enough skills to make dps a viable role. I have to actually choose skills instead just taking the one that works.
