Mage Guild Guest Line

I'm on Ps4, lvl 8 in Mage Guild, I'm going back through looking for books to get rank 10, but all these sites I'm looking at, I go to the location and no books. Some sites list like 50 books in 1 zone, I go to all these locations and nothing there and I know I didn't find all of these. Anyone havce a good way for someone on console?

If you go into your Journal then the Lore Library, there's a list of all the lore books you already collected and in which zones. Take your printed list and cross off the ones you have already collected, then put a star next to the ones you haven't. That's probably the best way I can think of to help you, it does suck not having addons for console.

I don't believe such a way on console exists unfortunately.

All I can say is; throw on your headphones and listen to your favourite albums and get to it. All book ocations can be speed checked in four hours, apparantly.

Some info is outdated or the books have been moved since it was posted.

You get inspiration toward the skill line for each book you get, but also bonus inspiration for each collection of books you complete. Only the books that glow purple count toward the skill line.

Have you quested through Cadwell's Silver/Gold? Each zone has 10 books that are unique to each area. Check your Lore Library and look at the collections you have. If you have some where you have 8/10 or 9/10 focus on locating the one or two you are missing. Some books have copies in each faction. So if you find the book in your home factions zones, they won't be in Cadwell's Silver or Gold.

There are some collections where the last book is in cyrodiil. It can be hard to find but if you know exactly which books you are looking for to complete the collection, you should be able to find some info by googling the names. Its a grind for sure, but worth it for meteor.

Back before I used any addons (first 6 months I never used one addon for the game) I would look for books at night. The Blue Glow can be seen from quite a distance away. Also, books are almost always found near a campsite or a skeleton or some small collection of stuff on the ground. So, when I would see something like that, even in the day, I would investigate.

When I finally got the Lore Book add on, I was amazed at how many books I did find without it.

Also, most books, at least those outside of the single copies in Group Dungeons, come in 4's, usually in one area. So, it is usually not that hard to find a book. If your using one of the guides on the web, if the place it sends you do does not have the book, then look around the area for other locations it could be placed in.

First, some books appear in multiple places in a single zone (most books in the game occur in three places (though there are exceptions, like dungeon lore). So, when a map says there's 50 books in a zone, it's more likely that there's 20 in that zone that are mirrored to the other alliances, and 10 that appear three times. Find any one of those triple copy books, and the other two will vanish.

Yeah I'm using Duffy's also, but like for example, in Auridon, it shows 10 red markers, that is Auridon lore, then about 21 blue locations that's for other lore stuff. So do I need to grab all the red and blue locations, or just the red or just the blue?

Grab every lore book you can.

The red ones are only the zone ones but the blue ones will be for the other collections. when you get to rank 9 then just go to your collections and finish off the ones with the fewest.
