I've been pvp-Ing with friends and it's really frustrating. Please tell me how to have fun because pvp is the only thing that's keeping me from this game.

    Why is it frustrating?

If you want a friend, get a dog.

Take a break I guess, I'm on here taking a break from WoW until Legion. When I left ESO, the highest level was VR12 so coming back was like a new experience for me with all the changes and improvements. I'm doing everything that is available in the base game by starting a new character, hitting every single quest, doing random dungeons, and farming a crapton of mats. My new character is up to VR8 so far and I haven't finished the VR3 zone yet. That didn't happen with my first character who hit VR11 in the VR10 zone at best, I didn't do the Craglorn farming exploit like everyone else at the time.

Not sure I understand, do you only want to do PvP, or are you trying to figure out how to do PvP so you can add that to the things you can do in the game?

Maybe explain what is frustrating you.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

how to have fun in a small group:

    1. take off all of your armor and weapons

    2. run around and punch everything you see to death

I don't know if I'd advise doing this in Cyrodiil, but in the rest of Tamriel is some of the most fun you can have.

I did the Craglorn grind once with guildies and it was too boring for me.

Find some guildies or friends you enjoy BSing with. Get together. Kill people, take their stuff, joke about it. Have fun together.

If you don't have friends or guildies you enjoy BSing with, get some.

Very simply: Get better. Skilled small groups can wipe bad zergs quite easily with some of the changes. Some player can get 5-10 kills in a heartbeat from bad stackers.

Coordination goes a very very long way.

Yeah I've been doing pvp for two years now...but now it's just so frustrating that everything's just about how many you have which sucks.

Tho you need to slot vd for that and it'll work if all of you have high dps squishy divines sets...

What exactly is frustrating? If you simply don't enjoy PVP, there's nothing wrong with that. Some players prefer PVE, others PVP and some like both.

If you want to know some activities a small group can do, you can set up in between keeps or on a bridge to gank enemy player reinforcements, or take a resource at an enemy keep and kill players who come to take it back, etc. If you are asking how you can improve your skills, have a friend log on with a different faction character to help you practice. This is really the only way to improve at 1v1 and small scale PVP.

One right thing you are doing is playing with friends, but if you all go in to it with sour attitudes this will become a feedback loop, or perhaps there is poor synergy between the group.
Small groups will be consumed by zergs that are aware of their presence on the battlefield and will devour them. I'd hope that your mentality isn't solely that your small group should own them. It takes much timing and maneuvering for small groups to surmount a Zerg and still many small groups can't compete as well as some of the more notable small groups. More often small group make their own fights by flagging an alternate resource or patrolling a choke point as examples. I can't be sure of your exact position but if certain aspects upset your group it's not the best idea to beat your head against them in frustration. Try a new/fun tactic once in awhile and see where you guys get your flow. And you can always try a different campaign i.e. No CP or roll a new nonvet.
Looking for broken things in hopes they may be fixed. I've given up, my game literally works differently from yours.
