I went with Quen, because I thought she'd have fun and (from a practical standpoint) we knew Nicolas was going to be there. If he spots us before we spot him...he doesn't know me OR Quen, so he can't blow our cover.

I like all the characters and torn between them. Just got to the point where I have to pick one and logged out because I can't decide. Shame one of them isn't a male dunmer because he would of looked good next to my female dunmer.

I guess my character who I am doing this with would pick Quen because they both started together and should see this through together. But then poor Zeria she should be there to see it done as well.

Damn you ZOS for writing such good characters.

I don't know why everyone liked Quen so much, I thought she was annoying.

I picked Velsa because I had a feeling it would be entertaining taking her to a fancy wedding and I was right. It was fun teasing her about the dress she wore. I bet secretly she liked dressing up.

Thieve's guild explains it. I hate thieving. I'm still working my way through this quest line after all this time. Sigh.

I chose Quen mainly because she's your main partner in crime, loyalty and all.

What I do not like is that for the last 6+ months I've not been able to complete the quest on my Khajiit, and it remains to be bugged. This reminds me of the time I gave up on the mages guild for similar reasons. I think it took me 2 years to complete the mages guild because of a buggy quest that wouldn't continue/complete.
