ESO increase the cp cap - although about 50 lvl !!!

    If they do plan on making gear require CP instead of VR then most likely they won't increase the CP until the next tier of gear beyond the current VR16.

    The cap is 501. They said VR16 gear will require 160 CP. I'm fine with waiting for the cap increase, as it gives me time to chase after achievements like Molag Bal's Generals or Master Gatherer.
