XP/AP for PvP ranks (Proxy Det)?

I'm on console, so the theives guild patch is currently downloading for me.
I heard that the AP required to level up the two PvP skill lines was significantly reduced and that it will be much easier to level up those trees now.
Is that so? How much AP is now required to unlock Proxy Det?
And if I already have more AP than that collected on my character, does that mean I'll have the skill automatically unlocked when the patch finishes downloading?

I was level level 12 in campaign on my ALT. and level 4 or 5 in the skill lines.
The skill lines went straight to level 9 after the patch on XBox.GT: Pougalbear

I'm in the same boat then! My Assault tree was on level 5 before the patch. Hopefully it'll go to 9 after the patch!
