What will happen? The areas scaled by veteran ranks, how will they scale?

I think they'll remain the same. The stats, damage, experience given, etc. nothing of that has to really change, even the Star Number doesn't have to go away it just gauges the rise in progression as to where you need to go next. Dungeons too, a Star16 no longer representing Veteran Rank 16 rather it becomes a number that shows the difficulty level.

The same would apply to gear as well, the Star Number instead of which veteran rank you are restricted to equip it can now be used as a way of identifying the strength of equipment, where it ranks. They could add more Star Number value to new equipment to show you that it is stronger in a progression standpoint.

Instead of grinding XP for veteran ranks, you will be grinding XP for champion points - nothing is changing (for new players).
You get the illusion that the steep grind is dropped but ultimately, everything remains exactly the same, except for those that have alts as CP is account wide. But from a new player perspective - there is no change.

If you paint a turd pink, it still remains a turd.

Gear used to require veteran ranks to equip, now it will require the equivalent in Champion Points so the only thing that's changes is the NAME of the progression system, not the system itself. Grinding XP still remains the dominant factor.
But on the bright side, at least now you only have to do it with ONE char not all of them, however to get the skillpoints you still need to do the dungeons, skyshards and quest lines so it's kinda half-optional.

I take it, you're speaking from persona, scatological, experience?

But, yeah, nothing really changes, except you can now pick where you want to go first, and you can choose to earn CP by replaying content on alts, instead of being forced to grind content on each character for VRs.

Indeed I am my friend, indeed I am.

Sadly, for me this change came half a year too late as I already have one of each class at vr16 and then some, so I will never get to experience any of the benefits. But it's good for new players I guess

the world will end and molog bal will return and the planet will implode..... that's one heck of a thought there... but it will just be more of the same cp grind and for skill points on the quests. maybe still be important to do silver so you can get to the gold areas in case you need them with heists or something idk.

Yeah, only Veteran characters can earn them. But any character of any level is able to use them.

No need to grind. Just play the game and points will come by themselves :)
