i was just thinking have we considered at all the reason pvp balance is not being addressed very well at the moment is because they are completely removing vet ranks soon and it wud be a wasted effort as it will be a huge revamp then?

✭✭It's possible, though from many years playing PvP in many different types of games, there really is no way to "balance" PvP.
At least, not unless you start everyone with the exact same gear (weapons, armor, etc.).
They can make tweaks and certain fixes, but it will never be "balanced" as long as there is variation from one player to the next. Plus, there is no way to make everyone happy. There will always be unhappy people no matter what changes Zeni makes.
But it is possible that they're holding off on any major changes to the PvP until they get the Vet Ranks converted to Champion System nailed down.

that does not excuse the lack of transparency ofc i mean if they annouced this was the situation we wud have alot less moaning
btw uriel i totally agree with u balance can never be a fully realised in a game where skill comes in to it some ones always going to be better at a certain thing

✭It's not the vet rank removal as much as it's what is being re-worked for update 10. Stamina morphs of many class abilities, etc is what's taking place now. In addition all weapon abilities are being reviewed and updated and many are changing. ESO live is your friend.

Also I don't think people really want balance when they ask for it here, what they want is for their class to be OMGWTFPWN and no one else to be.
I mean all the tears about how X class is weak and Y build is OP and you still see everyone in PvP playing all different types. Sure there are FotM builds and those are frustrating once everyone adopts them but honestly it's no completely dire that one class can't score a single kill or another is getting kills with no deaths.
The biggest issues in PvP right now are the bugs and lag.

No CP in Cyrodiil
Everyone forced to wear the exact same specific gear i.e. only gear purchased with AP/Tel Var Stones.
Respawn timer (unless rezzed by another player)
Not to mention fixing all the lag and balancing the game in general.
It would just kill PvP in general, although I'm actually fine if they went ahead with all these changes because then, at least in 1v1 situations, it comes down to player skill vs gear/CP/etc.Argonian forever1 -

You know if you hold down your "shift" button and press a letter, it comes out all Capitalized. But then again if you could find your "shift" key you could probably find .?!, etc0 -

You realize that there are a lot of people who once they get into a video game, their sole existence is to make you sad/angry/upset. This is their game.
The reason I bring that up is because no matter what you do, you will have people that get an unfair advantage and use it to make other people have less fun.
This is just the reality of player vs player environments. You would have to restrict everything to light attacks and hugs, and even then someone would figure out how to glitch a light attack and a hug and somehow become that lady from the toiletbowl commercial.

Heck, simple positioning could make all the difference.
