It will probably happen with the ability to dye weapons, as the quiver is really part of the bow, not the armor. No idea on when they will have Weapon Dyes

Some sort of reasoning along the lines of breaking immersion, not lore friendly, etc etc. Something like that anyway. They said it didn't seem realistic to have people run around with pink swords and what not.

The previous TES games are not appropriate comparisons for the obvious reason that this is an MMO and the other games are merely single player. Huge difference. Maybe they can make it appear in both slots. Maybe even make the quiver appear in the second slot but keep it as one unit and no additional piece of gear needed to make this happen.
Beyond that, it would be great to be able to dye the weapon and quiver.
Besides, we do not hold the quiver in out hand which is another reason the quiver should not become a separate piece of gear.

While the recent change to the bow skill line was a good change I do agree with one aspect you seem to mention and that it is weaker than ranged magika builds. This should be changed via the logical course of the skill line itself. With that, mele builds need a boost as they should outperform ranged builds any day but they is still not the case.
While ininderstand your desire to get an extra piece of gear to slot I find the rationale behind your argument to be grabing for fix that should occur elsewhere.
With that we should just agree to disagree. I will not be returning to this thread.
