Please would it be possible to dye our quivers? It would be swell if they could match our armors.. (weapons too)

Agreed. I propose one step further and make quivers serperate from a bow so you can add different quivers with different stats.

It will probably happen with the ability to dye weapons, as the quiver is really part of the bow, not the armor. No idea on when they will have Weapon Dyes

OMG YES! My red quiver does not go with my color scheme at all. I keep running into this problem. I can change the shield on my back, but not my quiver? Being able to dye this would be awesome...

U believe they stated awhile ago that they had no intention to dye weapons. Some sort of reasoning along the lines of breaking immersion, not lore friendly, etc etc. Something like that anyway. They said it didn't seem realistic to have people run around with pink swords and what not.

Highly amusing if that was their excuse, considering the reason that people want weapon dyes is to make the weapons REALISTIC colors instead of the reds and blues you get with higher level weapons.

Give me back silver swords already!

We waited a long time for the ability to dye shields.

That was people on the boards, the whole Pink/Purple thing was beaten into the ground with the intro of Armor Dyes. For a couple of weeks you could see lots of Pink and Purple Armors, although not all that much of them. Then it went away as people decided to use the system to make the gear look good. Now when I see Purple or Pink on a character, it looks like it belongs as people got used to the dye system and what it could do.

Besides, if the Devs did not want to see these colors in the game, they could have not introduced them.

It would not be appropriate to allow an extra slot for gear for 2h weapon when all other 2h weapon do not get them.

All other 2h weapons don't have 2 components to them. I.e. bow and quiver. Also, every other yes game separates bow from arrow, so it remains true to the concept developed in previous tes games.

The previous TES games are not appropriate comparisons for the obvious reason that this is an MMO and the other games are merely single player. Huge difference. Maybe they can make it appear in both slots. Maybe even make the quiver appear in the second slot but keep it as one unit and no additional piece of gear needed to make this happen.

Beyond that, it would be great to be able to dye the weapon and quiver.

Besides, we do not hold the quiver in out hand which is another reason the quiver should not become a separate piece of gear.

I do believe it is appropriate since the design concept of this game is based off of TES. just b/c it is an mmo instead of a single player does not mean that the design concepts are not based on the same principles. you give no reason why it should not be incorporated as another set piece other than you dont hold it in your hand. The fact that you do not hold it in your hand does not mean there are not separate pieces of equipment. in fact, you could kill a person with merely an arrow. additionally, you do have to hold the arrows from the quiver in your hand to fire it.

adding a set piece will by no means make the bow op. in fact, it would put it more on par as far as damage goes to the other weapons. Also, it is logical because different arrows do different things. Not all arrows fly the same, penetrate the same, etc. It would make sense to give a variety of arrows to a player to further customize their builds. Perhaps a player uses poison arrows. maybe disease. maybe they use fire or lighting arrows etc. Not only does the change make logical sense based for the foregoing reasons, but it also wont stand out as a must have weapon.

a staff is one piece of equipment. a 2h weapon is one piece of equipment. it does not make sense to give them bonus set pieces.

DW is 2 pieces of equipment. 1h/S is 2. a bow is 2 pieces of equipment and should be treated as such.

I give the very logical reason it is a 2h weapon and no 2h weapon in the game gets to put something else in the second slot. Hence it should not happen with the bow. The fact that a quiver appears as a separate item is really irrelevant.

While the recent change to the bow skill line was a good change I do agree with one aspect you seem to mention and that it is weaker than ranged magika builds. This should be changed via the logical course of the skill line itself. With that, mele builds need a boost as they should outperform ranged builds any day but they is still not the case.

While ininderstand your desire to get an extra piece of gear to slot I find the rationale behind your argument to be grabing for fix that should occur elsewhere.

With that we should just agree to disagree. I will not be returning to this thread.

you are taking the position that the game calls it a 2h that takes up one slot, so therefore it should be treated as such. what if the game separated it from the beginning to be two set pieces? would you then argue, well the game made it that way so it must remain that way? so a game should never grow or change?

i am saying they got it wrong from the beginning. it should have always been separate. other games such as diablo separates the pieces. why not here?

the fact that they are two separate items is not irrelevant. it is in fact the most relevant fact. a fact not shared with other 2handers and therefore making it inherently different. a bow cannot operate without the arrows. Hence bow AND arrow.

it is not an attempt at a fix to the line. although it could go a long way in doing so, my rational is based on the fact that they are 2 separate pieces of equipment and should be treated as such. you cant use 1h/s without a shield. you cant use a dw without 2 weapons. just as you cant use a bow without arrows. An additional rational behind my argument is that the other TES games recognized this fact and so should others.
