Video Freeze

eric_1961_ukb16_ESO

Getting random video freezes. Just the video though, I can hear the game carrying on as normal but the picture is frozen. Normally this may happen after a lengthy session but today it has happened three times so far. The only way to fix this is to ctrl / alt / delete & exit the game. Note that this is not in Cyrodil and happens on all characters. Specs below:

Asus Sabertooth X79 MB
64 Gb DDR3 RAM
GeForce GTX 680
Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium
i7 3820 CPU @ 3.6 Ghz
Windows 10 Pro

I'm getting this same exact error. When I check under the Processes tab, it says under Status that ESO is not responding. I'm not sure what's causing this. My video drivers are up to date. I've tried repairing the game. I've tried every single solution in the troubleshooting thread at the top of this particular forum. Nothing has alleviated the issue.

I'm using the 32 bit client since using the 64 bit client results in pink textures and audio problems. I do consider myself fairly tech savvy, so I highly doubt there's anything installed on my PC that is causing the issue. I'm extremely persistent when it comes to keeping my PC clean and updated. I have the latest DirectX and Microsoft Visual C++ packages installed. I've also tried running the game without add-ons. The problem still occurs. This never happened prior to the TG patch.

    My PC's specs:

    CPU - i5 3570k (stock clocks)
    RAM - 8GB DDR3 1866MHz
GPU - Gigabyte Radeon R9 390 (stock clocks)
    OS - Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit

    [Edit]

I have attached a DXDIAG to my post.

I decided to reinstall all the latest .NET Framework, Microsoft Silverlight, Microsoft Visual C++, and DirectX packages. I also tweaked a few other settings and disabled some unnecessary services that weren't related to Microsoft. Been playing for about an hour or two without any random freezes or crashes. Not sure if the problem is resolved or not, but I'll continue playing and report my findings here.

I'm having screen blackouts in the maelstrom arena, in the last arena specifically. It happens during any random round and reset the current arena back to round one when I log back in, then blacks out again at some point. Only the visuals fail, the sound and buttons seem to still work as I can hear everything still going on. The game crashes soon after.

I think reinstalling those packages and disabling those unnecessary services did the trick for me. Perhaps there was a corrupt file or something. ESO seems to be functioning normally for now.

Got this thing twice this evening.

    Win-7 64, Nvidia card, 32-bit client.

Todays patch changed the game's behavior.
From March 8 to esterday it was just common crashes with reporter or lock-ups, at the same rate, one-two per evening.

Now there is ""video driver has crashed and been restored"" events in Windows event log, so starting from today the game just hangs the driver instead of itself.

    GJ, keep trying guys.
I wonder, how long it will take to bring the game back to the rock-solid stability (not a single crash in many month) as it was before TG DLC.
