I play on Xbox One, and I have to say that it seems like the population has diminished by at least 50%, so many MIA. I realize it will pick back up once TG releases on console, but hard to know if it'll stick.
I am curious if this is the same case with PS, and PC (even after TG release)..
We need some stuff to keep players engaged and wanting to log on..

1) Mournhold: 20 to 50 people standing around the wayshrine shouting for groups 24 hours a day.
2) Davons Watch: You'll find naked dance party newbies here all the time if that's your thing.
3) Stormhold: This is my neighborhood. I personally think it has the best layout to bank and deconstruct quickly. Always a few dozen people.
Belkarth and Orsinium aren't always full but the best guild traders are there a lot so it's never a ghost town.
The Cadwell's silver and gold areas are ghost towns. Always have been. Since there really isn't one main city this was bound to happen. In truth there are probably a few EP cities I didn't even mention that are buzzing most days too.
On Xbox One I notice a lack of players I mean Mornhold and Riften are populated seems like there isn't a lot of people in PVP.

It depends on your PVP campaign. I play scourge. Most nights it's an AD party until between 7:00 and 8:00pm eastern. Usually by midnight it's firmly back in EP control, the it repeats going back to AD in the night hours.
I joke that it's because EP players have jobs and are all over 30. Haha. Could be wrong.

Scourge and Haderus are the only campaigns with a population, and even then there is rarely a queue.

Hopefully, they add text chat with thieves guild for the console players but they might hold off on releasing that.
Yeah they are only releasing text chat I think because there is a huge uproar about not having it. I remember before they confirmed releasing it seeing all those threads, talking about consoles having no text chat and how it was needed.
I play on pc so, we get text chat, we get zone chat, (rp chats, say, yell and emote). So yeah pc is so much better for communicating then consoles atm.
Console players hopefully will have it soon.

Maybe a few who got the game didnt like it so they left. Others played a lot right away and now are starting to login normally. Its not unusual for activity to ebb and flow. Like on PC with the TG dlc out I see a lot of people on my friends list pop on i havent seen in a while.

If you're saying that the population has dropped off from the launch week, sure. Clearly. But do you really want 297 person queues that last for 2 hours? Just like any other game it's busier on Friday and Saturday nights.
While I have no way of supporting this it seems to me that a few thousand people are playing at all times. It's just a really big game world with a bunch of stuff to do.

I'm not arguing for or against anything, it just seems like the population is dropping and that is somewhat worrisome. I was just curious what other players on other systems are seeing as well. I have invested a ton of time in this game and don't want it to become a ghost land.

It might really depend on where you are - I am just in low level zones yet and those are crowded at prime time. I thought of going to Orsinium, meanwhile the hype should be over and I might be able to enjoy it more. But then again, I am a bit afraid that I would spoil the regular zone questing with doing Orsinium instead to quest in regular zones first. So I don't know what I will do, maybe I will have a look at Orsinium and decide then.
