ZOS (wrobel in particular) not having enough foresight is one thing. Players championing ideas like VD and portraying to devs that the terrible feedback they're getting from other players might be hyperbole or way off is another thing altogether. Sooo many players said this would be so awesome, so healthy for pvp, it'll make all dem ball group zergbads ragequit the game, etc. They are so fiery when they forum warrior the people predicting to a T what the meta will end up being like and raising concerns, and then reality sinks and they get quiet - hoping no one calls them out on helping to delude wrobel and wheeler into thinking they have viable ideas.

Yeah, I definitely don't mean to call anyone out in particular. We all get "posterized" inappropriately at times. I know I've been captured looking pretty bad a few times. /facepalm. I'm just speaking generally based on my observations.

There exists a false belief that members of elite guilds are all terrible players if not for the OP strat they are using. Even though I am opinionated and critical of the decisions top guilds make at times, I know that individually, you are all very good players who work hard to stay on top of things. Any tool used to bust zergs will always be best utilized by the best players.

I remember it was the same with prox det, back when Havoc was the group everyone blamed lag/etc on. They just keep adding these skills in and the groups people hate take them and use them best.

Yeah i know, it's just annoying now and the poor zone chat groups just melt instantly. Ofc all the organized groups will have to use whats best and most OP at the time.
