Does Maelstrom Arena completions still drop Mael weapons, or just leaderboards?

I completed Maelstrom a good dozen or more times and enjoyed it back when Orsinium was still new, and I got many Maelstrom weapons. I was on the leaderboards each week when I was doing it and got more nice weapons from that.

I just started doing Maelstrom again to min max my dps for a new build, and I got unusable Orsi set item drops in all of my 4 recent completions so far in a row -- and not a single Maelstrom weapon.

I'm sad. Completing the Arena is expensive and time-consuming. I worked hard to do so and got no rewards...

Do vet Maelstrom Arena completion chests not drop the Maelstrom weapons anymore, or do those only come in leaderboard mails? I'm fine with it either way -- I just want to know the way it works so I know what to expect.

I got a sharpened bow yesterday, so yes, they still drop.
The rng for weapon/weapon type/trait is horrendous though.
