before they have independent spawn place and time
now the places remains the same, for example on Khenarthi's Roost there is like 15 places for spawn, but their time and appearance bound toghether, like treasure chests do
it means only 1-2 of them can be active for one locationat the same time, when you open one and it dissapeared, another one will appear after some time at the random spot, if you look at the Roost, it will be one of 15 spots
thats why you think it was deleted
but its not true
just mechanic of their spawn now similar to treasure chests

I actually found one this morning in Hew's Bane, the one in the shack/tent near the Refuge. Last night I heard one in town in the mansion district. And, on the way to a Delve I heard another but could not find how to get to it.
But, compared to Pre Patch when I could circle around the Refuge hitting 3 Troves one right after the other with no delay, it is better this way. Would I like the respawn to be a bit faster? Maybe. But I think it might be better to have more of them active at once. This would help to balance what people can find with how many are in a zone.

Now, there are none to be found. I have never seen a developer make all these errors before. The last MMO I played was Guild Wars 2 and they were pretty good at patching bugs and the like. They also had these real fun real world events that got the whole zone into doing it. You guys need help.
Even Warhammer Online had Public Quests that involved many players in a zone banding together to beat it, one of the best selling points imho. It's a shame to see so few MMO's adapt this great system, GW2 being a notable exception.
I think some of you don't understand how the troves where nerfed allow me to explain.
Before the nerf in a zone there used to be (this is just an example) 40 trove locations up at all time with a determined re-spawn time but after the patch only one third of the trove spawn simultaneously in this locations so when you open a trove is not guaranteed to spawn in the same location another trove very far away might spawn instead its completely random, this is what completely killed the enjoyment of finding a trove for me i can no longer walk around a small area in a zone and find them because there is not a 100% chance that after 5 mins there will be even one, they only needed to increase the spawn timer in Hew's Bane which was the zone being exploited for its 1 min re-spawn on troves not completely ruin all other zones and kill the desire to go out and find them. This was a awful and clumsy way to deal with the problem and ended the excitement of going to a zone and look for troves, now its not worth the effort and time.

I understand, and I think it's perfect now. Rare treasure is rare. Go figure.
