So... About Those Treasure Troves...

Alright, so you added these kind of cool treasure troves that made it fun to explore zones. Then, you took them away because a few of them spawned real fast. Now, there are none to be found. I have never seen a developer make all these errors before. The last MMO I played was Guild Wars 2 and they were pretty good at patching bugs and the like. They also had these real fun real world events that got the whole zone into doing it. You guys need help.

Troves are still to be found. Found them throughout pve zones. In regard to the fast spawn times, the associated complaints were often a result of players camping on troves. At least that was my impression.

At least all they dropped was crap, those sets are not worth the inventory slot.

guys jeez you didnt understand simple things

before they have independent spawn place and time

now the places remains the same, for example on Khenarthi's Roost there is like 15 places for spawn, but their time and appearance bound toghether, like treasure chests do

it means only 1-2 of them can be active for one locationat the same time, when you open one and it dissapeared, another one will appear after some time at the random spot, if you look at the Roost, it will be one of 15 spots

thats why you think it was deleted

    but its not true

just mechanic of their spawn now similar to treasure chests

They are still way to easy to find. Bright blue lights which can be seen from a huge distance. There is nothing subtle about these "thief" treasure troves.

I ran through every inch of Khenarthi's Roost yesterday (as I tend to do when I'm tired of questing for a bit) and only saw one.Odd.And the chests there respawn by the time I can run the beach from one end to the other.Troves,if they are there, just dont respawn very much. And I was there early in the am,and no one else was there.I didnt see but one.

Must not know every one of those spots. The one place I know better than any other in ESO is Khenarthi's Roost. And bye,I was hunting to see if there were any there.
However,in Glenumbra there are quite a few that I found by accident.

    Hit it spot on OP.

Those dark anchors need to be harder so players have a harder time beating them.

The bosses in the delves also take forever to spawn now so yay Shark Tooth grotto bug that didn't drop motifs & there for many of us avoided it all together now have to wait something like 5-10mins for a spawn with no guarantee for a drop...

They pretty much overdid the nerf. I found only one since the patch, and I when I opened it I realized they also nerfed the amount of gold inside to 10 gold now.

Yeh I feel like they overkilled the nerf. Typical tho.

More like all of them spawned at once and respawned within 30s of being opened XD It needed fixing. But ZOS didnt fix it. They broke it in the opposite direction :P

Even Warhammer Online had Public Quests that involved many players in a zone banding together to beat it, one of the best selling points imho. It's a shame to see so few MMO's adapt this great system, GW2 being a notable exception.

I actually found one this morning in Hew's Bane, the one in the shack/tent near the Refuge. Last night I heard one in town in the mansion district. And, on the way to a Delve I heard another but could not find how to get to it.

But, compared to Pre Patch when I could circle around the Refuge hitting 3 Troves one right after the other with no delay, it is better this way. Would I like the respawn to be a bit faster? Maybe. But I think it might be better to have more of them active at once. This would help to balance what people can find with how many are in a zone.

I like your idea of having more of them active at once,or at least within a few minutes of eachother.
I just wish they would change the sound, cos I keep finding Nirn Root, not troves. XD

I agree it is nothing like the massive nerfing Anet did to their dynamic events. Making the loot next to worthless and then hitting it with diminishing returns to more you do it. Oh wait...

This I agree with. Sad thing is the Anchors are a perfect set up for group events. But when you have one of your leads saying the game is more like a RPG then an MMO it isnt hard to tell which direction they want to go.

I think some of you don't understand how the troves where nerfed allow me to explain.

Before the nerf in a zone there used to be (this is just an example) 40 trove locations up at all time with a determined re-spawn time but after the patch only one third of the trove spawn simultaneously in this locations so when you open a trove is not guaranteed to spawn in the same location another trove very far away might spawn instead its completely random, this is what completely killed the enjoyment of finding a trove for me i can no longer walk around a small area in a zone and find them because there is not a 100% chance that after 5 mins there will be even one, they only needed to increase the spawn timer in Hew's Bane which was the zone being exploited for its 1 min re-spawn on troves not completely ruin all other zones and kill the desire to go out and find them. This was a awful and clumsy way to deal with the problem and ended the excitement of going to a zone and look for troves, now its not worth the effort and time.

More like rare garbage, the chance of getting something valuable from a trove is very low and on top of that now the chance of finding troves is even lower.

I'm sorry but this was a brilliant way to deal with it. The story behind Thieves Troves was that it's a hidden stash of stolen goods a thief had to leave behind. Not a place a thief took stolen goods every 1 minute so that a player could farm them.

What I find a little silly is they've reduced the drop rate on a set basically made to deal with Thieves Guild Heists so low it'll be just about impossible to ever find at your level as you're leveling...so they need to fix the troves and increase spawn rate once again.

All those people whining about the troves haven't even considered how not having these sets at anything less than V16 (which is basically the only ones people are now selling, the spawn rates are so low) makes the few drops of this set pointless. People at V16 won't want them, they were only good for doing the Thieves Guild Heists, and now we have nothing for that particular content.

The whole nerf thing is just /facepalm, as are the people happy with it^^^^^^^^
