Thieves Guild broke sound on 64bit AND 32bit client.

To my knowledge ZOS have said they know the 64bit client has issues including sound, but I am not able to find where they have been made aware or acknowledged this is also a problem on the 32bit client.
  • Sound constantly cuts out.
  • It is like only 1 or 2 effects can play at once now, then they start "clipping."
  • Having music on makes it worse.
  • Even when it works it lags behind the action, throwing off the feel of combat.

Surely I can't be the only one experiencing sound glitches on 32bit as well?

    Got the loud audio chirping AND pink textures in all zones on the 32-bit client today.

    If you're gonna climb the ugly tree...

    I've been using the 64 bit since it became available with little to no problems...until yesterday that is.

    Only zone the audio went wonky for me was Craglorn. A switch to the 32 bit solved the issue.

    I wonder what other surprises I'll find tonight from yesterdays hotfix ;)

    Any chance we could get an ETA on this?

    I know I will probably just be blackballed for being negative and hostile and toxic and hateful but it really is a little disappointing to come back for Thieves Guild only to find basic sound and graphics weren't apparently even tested and have Troves nerfed to non existence on day 2.

    I guess I should be ashamed of feeling that way.

    I hoped onto 64 to try that out after having audio issues with 32. Everywhere there is purple junk graphics its horrible. Ill go back to 32 and just deal with the audio losses here and there. What a horrible patch.

    It amazes me that a company with Zenimax/Bethesda reputation would push content that doesn't even manage to ensure the core engine sound and graphics are working.

    You really expect me to buy discounted horse training when you can't even ensure core functionality?

    I did... it sounds disturbingly like they have no clue. First they were insisting it was only the 64bit client, then that it was only Cyrodiil, then one of the greens admitted they got the cut-outs on the 32bit client but said something like "we can't account for everyone's hardware and configuration."

    Great. You know, this "we're working on it" might be more reassuring if this was QA being done on PTS before they just dumped this on live and made the current game unplayable.

    Guess I'll not be coming back right away. Been on haitus for 3 months, what's another couple.

    EDIT: It still hasn't made it to the "Known Issue" thread...
