Generally speaking, younger people tend to have weaker impulse control, poorer social skills and take offence more easily. We found that players who were young or who had antisocial user names would tend to receive and send more negative feedback. Meanwhile, older, more mature players, or those with inoffensive user names, would have relatively positive interactions with their teammates.

IKR? lolI was a bit disappointed that they didn't go into more depth or look at more of a range of names. "People who choose antisocial screen names exhibit more antisocial behaviour" is hardly a revelation. It's a good start and I can appreciate the value in an experiment to confirm what "everyone knows" (because so often everyone knows the world is flat), but I'd like to have seen them go further.
Ha! I had actually wondered if that was where your name came from! I don't do any swordfighting myself, but when I used to fence a bit when I was a kid, and one of my friends is a swordfighting instructor so that was what came to mind the first time I saw your name.ContraTempo wrote: »Depends on the personality I suppose. I've always made very deliberate name choices. For example, ContraTempo is a sword fighting term that involves attacking at an unexpected time to gain the advantage (oversimplification but that's the important part). And yes, I do actual swordfighting as a hobby, and I like to approach situations in unexpected ways. Not very mysterious.

I really want to know how this Gamer Tag would fit into their mix.
A couple years back I was playing SWAT in Halo Reach and got killed by a guy whose GT was "A Dirty Jew", so the in-game text told me that: "You were headshot by 'A Dirty Jew' ".
It was hilarious. But still brings the curiosity of what these guys would say to that. lmao
