My thoughts on TG dlc

Its awesome as ***. I love the stealing aspect, i was never a thief in TES games but I have finally converted. I am finally a thief and am actually pretty happy i chose a bosmer nb instead of other races (except khajiit). Only issue I am running into is the lack of skill points, I'll just have to finally finish cadwell silver and gold I guess. Its actually pretty fun pickpocketing npc and murdering people.

Can anyone share some spots to level ledgerman?

Also, if you have turned thief and are not a bosmer/khajiit NB, how is your experience being a thief??

I find that just doing the DLC quests helps level Legerdemain pretty well. Stealing/fencing is the quickest way I think. So as soon as you can put points into the skill to increase fence transactions that's a good thing to do. It isn't like farming certain materials or grinding skills or champ points, there isn't really a "place" to go.

There are some you-tube videos of places to steal weapons/armor to then deconstruct and sell materials to make money, but if its the skill line you want to level then opening chests/troves, pick-pocketing, stealing from houses/palaces etc and fencing all that stolen stuff is your best bet.

This is an mmo not a questing simulator. A few questing dlcs every once in a while is ok, but people want some content that is replayable.

Just go get a few of the Thieves Troves, these are easy to farm in Hew's Bane and give you a ton of items to fence...

I fence the maximum number of items everyday on three characters... Only takes a few minutes per character.

Enjoyed it for the first day or two, then ran out of content.
At least the first Fallout 4 DLC is coming out later this month.

My favourite place to level Legerdemain was in Auridon on the Temple Acolytes, pick-pocketing all of them and fencing their goods.
Maxed out my Legerdemain back when the system was introduced, but doubt anything has changed about the spot.

There is replayable content: daily pledges, orsinium dailies, should I mention Cyrodiil?

Have never run a pledge, and never will. If Thieves Guild added new daily pledges, do not care.
If Thieves Guild DLC added new dailies to Orsinium, then this game is clearly a cash grab requiring players to purchase multiple DLCs to get the benefits of a single one.

But please do enlighten me on what the Thieves Guild added in terms of Cyrodiil replayable content; I've spammed the Town dailies there to level all my characters (it's the most exciting PvE in game, because I get to fight other players while doing it), but if Thieves Guild added new ones I am not familiar with those.

    Pardon?

Am genuinely interested in whether the Thieves Guild added more content to a part of the game that I do participate in.

Have multiple anxiety disorders, so I only run solo content. Pledges and trials are out; I have tried at a trial and ended up having an anxiety attack.

Feeling that it is unjust to expect players to buy multiple DLCs to access content related to the Thieves Guild is not unreasonable either.

But if there is new Thieves Guild content in a map that is in the vanilla game, and that I have a history of enjoying the PvE on, then would genuinely like to know.

Returned after a 6 month hiatus just for the Thieves Guild. It was disappointingly short, unless I missed content somewhere.

^^ Windhelm, anywhere in Audron, Greenshade, Wayrest, really any big city is good for pickpocketing and looting strongboxes. When you're at lower levels of thieving pick on easy marks, then move up as you gain experiance. I made about 300k in about a week for only 2 to 3 hours a day. (NOTE, I'm an AD player, other factions may be different, and I'd try their starting cities first.

No it's not, the zone and designing into it along with the concept art was done brilliantly YES!

But the DLC as a patch? Awesome, it broke my game, added crashes, graphical bugs that no non alpha game should have, the lag on PvP oh my god...

Please do yourself a favour and run around a bunch of different zones and go do some old quests maybe storyline like the guild quests and look at all the wonderful pink everywhere. Some enemies are even invisible...

Should you mention Cyrodiil? Haha Don't you dare

Worst DLC ever simply because it broke a perfectly fine game. I am one of the people that pre-TG patch was preaching look past the bugs, issues and just enjoy it for what it is but this is too much.

Appreciate the warning, but should be good. =)
Solo content typically only sets off my OCD at worst. Fixate and obsess over pointless ***, but nothing overtly harmful. It's the mentality that did not let myself sleep until the Thieves Guild was done, but compulsive washing eats up the majority of my energy more than anything in game ever could.

Interpersonal stuff can be a nightmare though. PTSD and general social anxiety as a result get in the way more than anything in that regard.

Like the community here, there is a number of helpful and respectful people, but my pace is my own and, unfortunately, it does not coincide well with group content beyond duo.

A solo arena should potentially be a goldmine though, so I again appreciate the insight. =D

But please do enlighten me on what the Thieves Guild added in terms of Cyrodiil replayable content; I've spammed the Town dailies there to level all my characters (it's the most exciting PvE in game, because I get to fight other players while doing it), but if Thieves Guild added new ones I am not familiar with those.

    typical attitude from a pvp'er

It was disappointingly short, unless I missed content somewhere.

    do you vmsa?

I do not know what that is, is that somewhere in the Cistern? All I see left any longer is Heists and the Tip Board.

veteran maelstrom arena. solo content that is extremely hard to beat

That sounds like it could be interesting, how do I get to it?

its in wrothgar. have to have the orsinium dlc. has 2 modes, veteran and normal. id suggest practicing on normal. veteran is god mode. literally

Oh. Well, thank you for clarifying. =)
Will have to look into it at some point.
Unfortunately, that does not improve my view of the Thieves Guild DLC being content-sparse, but at least they make efforts at longevity of the game somewhere. =/

Just be careful if you suffer from anxiety man. This might tear you apart its so *** hard

Appreciate the warning, but should be good. =)

I leveled up legerdemain fairly quickly when it first came out. As I got to higher levels I found laundering didn't advance me very fast, and there is a daily limit. The quickest way was lockpicking higher level locks, medium or high still gave enough points to be worth it. Since chests are random, I worked locked doors in cities. I went around opening medium locked doors, looted and pickpocketed what I found inside, and then moved to the next house. You often find a strongbox inside which is a bonus. Any city with a good collection of pickable doors will work. Scour the city, then reload the character and do it again.
