Anything can happen in F2P space if asked from me, who could have ever imagined Blade and Souls got 1 mill players. Its probably Funcom's last chance but its very viable.

I'll be here. ESO is the only "MMO" I'm interested in. I am also an Elder Scrolls ***.

I play other games, though, but not in the same dedicated fashion as I do ESO. Currently it's a mixture of Civ V and America Truck Simulator (with friends, can get very silly online).

That's supposed to read as, "...am also an Elder Scrolls lady of the night ." But they consider that to be a bad word.

Great game but there's not as much to do when you jump out of battle. Also it's been a while since I played PS2 but I found the community wasn't all that great, lack of teamwork, trolling etc. There's only so many times you can take being deliberately flattened by a friendly on a quad.

Nr1 cause of death for a vanu player is the magrider.
Its a really bad vehicle for running over hostiles, but it more than makes up for it at running over friendlies.

Utter crap? The only real footage has been the alpha footage. The game will have good graphics once it's complete. What is the hype? Because it has an rvr combat engine developed from scratch unlike eso that used a modified hero engine and that's probably why we have lag. Hero can't handle all the projectiles, animations, and load. Cu also has player housing using voxle like technology. it's also pure pvp. No linear questing like cadwells silver and gold. Cu also has more races to choose from and its sandbox.

I and I forgot to mention it has spell crafting.

And Wildstar is going to kill ESO, no wait Archeage is going to kill WoW, or was it ESO, or is Archeage killing Wildstar...I cant even remember all the HYPE talk from the last two years. It is all bullsh#t trying to get you to give them money in their little kickstarter. It looks like crap, with an idea that will not work as an MMO.

The file size of the game and its patches have zero affect on FPS! Officially the devs admitted there was code optimization issues that are causing the lag, once upon a time you could have epic scaled battles with zero lag and then a change months after release ruined it. It certainly isn't a case of "40 people, spamming abilities, in a close proximity", if that was the case then the team would need firing and replacing as 40 people fighting in a PVP dedicated area should never be a problem these days.

the crowdfunding to start Camelot unchained started on may 2nd 2013 so its roughly in its 3rd year (wasting nearly the first year entirely by trying to get the rights for the DAoC engine).

That first year engine bit doesn't sound right. From the get-go they stated they wanted to build their own engine.. else they could have just licensed Gamebryo, which was what DAoC was using.

graphical wise yes, the entire netcode though was self written - and that was the reason they tried to license it.
