Would have been great five years ago. Decent now but nothing I'd invest in. There's a lot of better stuff out there in the $500-700 range if you just want a budget gaming PC.

CPU should be fine, ram looks good. GPUs though.. do they support DX11?

FWIW I run an i7 980X which is the same generation as the cpu you're looking at, and it's still a beast, it loves to overclock. 16GB ddr3. I run it with a GTX Titan though. $500 sounds good to my british ears, but if you do buy it then look to upgrade your GPU(s) asap. You could try to get the price down a bit by pointing out that the GPUs are no longer gonna cut it.

No worries. Don't disregard what the others have said though; you can build good PCs for reasonable prices these days. But $500 is £350 and that sounds ok for what you're getting, especially if there's a chance of the price dropping even more. Your mobo won't support PCI-E 3.0 but that will have zero affect on anything, just make sure to get a DX11 compatible gpu, and if you want short-term future proof get a DX12 gpu.

Also watch out for the PSU, my original one recently packed up. They are usually the first things to go and cause instability when they're on the way out. Not pricey to replace but you could use that info to get the price down even more. Just ask when the PSU was replaced, if never be concerned.

Yeah for that price, it is decent. As long as the 460s are in decent shape, should run the game on low/medium settings. I do not think ESO has an SLI profile so not sure how it would work with the game.

my rig is still rocking an i7 950 but I have upgraded my SSDs and GPUs many times since building this in 2009/10.

Throw another treehundred at a GTX970 and you're gold OP.
