Command pets key doing nothing

Is there something know that prevents the command pet key from working (i.e. soem user settings / chance files / add-on data that has to be deleted)?

I cannot use the command pets to target key. Neither can some guild members who tested it as well. Some people on the forum claimed it was working, though.

How to reproduce:
Assign key in settings
Summon pets,
Attack more than one target,
Target alternating targets (with tab or without),
press the key in order to make your pets switch targets.

What happens for me:
The key has absolutely no effect.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there a known issue? Is it broken for everyone maybe?

sending 100k EU gold to whoever helps me solve this issue (by finding out what actually causes the problem or managing to get ZOS to fix it if it should actually be a bug). I'm really sick of it

They recently made some changes to the Pets so I imagine some things are different.

Now, assuming you have a Pet bound to the 1 Key (and your on PC), if you press 1 the first time, it summons your pet, press the 1 the second time it attacks. What I don't know is if the Y key still allows you to Target anymore. Not sure if you could ever focus a Pet on a target on the console, I think you could.

Also, to Unsummon the Pet, you have to do this from the Character Display that shows your effects, not the Key that calls them in the first place.

With the above in mind, can you have your pets attack now?

Pets attack just fine. The new ability (on subsequent presses of the pet skill) also works. however, those skills are not targetted (in my case a pulsing AoE around the familiar and a heal from the twilight (the other morphs behave the same, e.g. a buff the the twilight and I forget when clanfear does).

It's not a problem of them not doing their work, however, I cannot force them to do their work on a particular target. This exact feature was not in the game initially and then added in, I think, 1.5 (maybe it was 1.4 or 1.6, not entirely sure). I never played with pets until now. Now that I want to use it, I cannot get said feature to work.

I have not slotted any Pets on my Sorcerer in over a year.

I did use the Targeting function when I did use them. Bummer if it was taken away.

it's still in in theory. i can still set the key under controls.
it just seems broken (not sure if only for me and some others or everybody)

You need to PRESS AND HOLD the assigned key, and while doing so, you can issue two commands:

PRESS AND HOLD + Left Click = Attack Highlighted Target
PRESS AND HOLD + Right Click = Recall Pets to Your Location

Thank god! There is even a possibility to withdraw them?!?!
Will test this as soon as i am at home.

Thank you for pointing this out. Not sure if this is better or worse or just different than it used to be. I am thinking this might make more sense in the long run to press and hold then click on what you want them to attack.

To unsummon go to active effects and get them there.
