Thoughts on the power level of siege?

I kind of like where it's at right now, judging by first impressions. It feels powerful, but not overbearing. I want to avoid getting hit by siege -- it hurts -- but taking a hit here and there isn't the end of the world.

I also feel the variety in siege. Before, when i saw siege out, my reaction was "oh that's cute, he's using siege," and I only really cared about meatbags and when to purge them. Now, I feel each different siege engine's impact, and a clutch impact with the right kind of siege can turn a battle.

I still hate that siege DoTs break cloak...but I can manage with that. It's honestly whatever.

Overall, for the first time playing this game, I feel excited to buy and use siege. What do you all think of the power level of siege?

    I think the siege changes OR the changes to Rapids & Purge would have been good, but the combination has lead to even bigger numbers showing up to keep takes. The moments when you defend a keep with 8v40+ are cool, but I feel like it encourages more people to be in one place which is sort of opposite to what this patch was about wasn't it?

    Defending is fun but attacking is a death sentance without a group, watching random pugs take that oil back is funny a few times then its hard to watch.

    We keep trying, attacking is what we do. But... damn lol. There's so little mitigation, so much damage, I can't take keeps 24 vs 60 anymore.

    It is a great change for cyro. Finally AP are something worth, because we will spend huge amounts for weapons and tents. Most players still have several millions AP stored but will be used up soon.

    I think it's about right. I wouldn't mind it being stronger. I did not like the mechanics that allowed players to shrug off siege like it was nothing. We should be compelled to avoid it as much as possible, not absorb it 100% of the time.

    I say this as nightblade who has lost his practical immunity to the fire siege dots.

    Player have to learn to open more than one breach on a defended keep. I think that´s how it should be.

    Yeh, a siege looks more natural when there are many ruined walls, and not just one tiny breach with 40 people going through it.

    Any group worth anything always used the support skills. I've been using siege shield since 1.6. Siege itself isn't the main problem. It is the combination of siege + barrier nerf + purge nerf + rapids nerf. Too much too fast.
