Best magicka dps wep?

So we all know you get the most spell power from duel wield but what is the best staff for a magic dps nb? I heard healing staff but also heard inferno.

NOT including arena weps.

Best weapon for dps imo is whatever you can sustain magicka with. Resto or desto works great depending on your play style.

Inferno is what most magicka nightblade DPS I know prefer to craft, I don't know any who use a restoration staff. Since you're a dark elf as well, that'd probably be the best for you.

Also on a side note, I was in the Maw of Lorkhaj trial with you the other day .

oh true that yea i prefer the weave for inferno but i heard the restro does better dps, no idea why and yea

at launch resto actually gave a base damage buff for spells as a passive, but seeing that way changed like 18 months ago because so many QQ that main dps using resto was ruining their day it was removed, which sucked extra hard because it was the only weapon that benefited a spell damage build(all weapons scaled off weapon damage not spelldamage back then so either you spells or weapons were limp. )... i cant imagine why resto would be better currnetly

Restro worked nice before TG patch because it scaled of thaumaturge, which magicka NB had 100 points into. Now it's been merged with elemental damage there's no reason to use a restro over an inferno staff.

I use DW and Fire Staff.

destro and resto works fine as well (you can channel attacks with resto, rendering all reflects useless)

I run a inferno staff and dw on my sorc, most people run that from what I've seen.

The 10% damage from resto passive was nice but hard to justify from a balance perspective. The only advantage resto currently has over fire staff is the light attacks of resto are slightly easier to weave cos they have less travel time (if any). That's not a good enough reason to choose it over fire staff though.
