Stam Dk Dueling Questions

So I've started dueling on my stam dk and had a couple questions for you guys just from a 1v1 perspective not open world pvp etc.
Gear: Im currently running 5 hundings (heavy) and 3 piece agil 2 endur and either engine or bloodspawn
I get about 2.7k wep buffed on first bar and 3k on second, res is 27k phys and 31k spell buffed wo/bloodspwan
Regen is low about 700 apiece im at 267 cp btw

Skills: 1h/s reverb bash, igneous, ransack, def stance, vigor, corrosive arm
2h hard armor, wb, executioner, rally, caltrops, take flight

1. Is their any other option for burst other than wrecking blow? This really doesnt work well in duels against people who counter it.
2. What is the best way to take on a mag sorc? These fights are the longest ive had, we usually end up calling it a draw
3. Is heavy armor really as bad as people say it is for pvp or is medium armor a much better option.

I'd say give medium armor a try. Maybe hold onto 2 pieces of heavy if you like it that much. Also animation cancel ransack works great for me. Only go for the wb when it's time to line up a take flight right after.

You should use fossilize especially against magicka builds for duels

I run 5 heavy too OP.

If you're in 5 heavy like me, it's not about burst anymore. It's sustained Dps. Use searing strike with ransack bash for constant damage. Run reverb bash for healing debuff. Keep pressure and run them out of stam then swap to 2h finish with Wb leap or fossilize leap.

Also you're regen is very very Low. I run around 1.6k stam regen. With such little regen and being in 5 heavy I can safely say you will run out of stam in 30 seconds tops. Take a peek at the guide I posted today earlier. Maybe it might answer some of your questions.

Against sorcs;

They will stack shields till kingdom come and some will just sit in their mines. Don't worry about their shields too much. Dot and keep pressure with ransack. Cc whenever you can and keep ur wings up for their frags. Watch for proxy + curse + streak/frags + ult combos. Don't let them have the space to line this up. Most sorcs run well over 35k magicka and more then 1.6k magicka regen. You're not going to be able to empty their magicka bar. However most sorcs also have at most 10k stam. This is the key. Keep cc and snares up and they will sit at 0 stam. When u notice them continue to lay on the floor after a reverb/Wb take the opportunity and finish them before they can reapply.
